What you up to, where you from, how old are you? 🤣I’m nosey and genuinely interested about what people in the U.K. (I’m not there now) and around the world are up to.

I’m 44, British but live in Portugal.
We’ve just had nachos and I made Grinch popcorn with my 4 year old Dd and watched the film (in the middle of August 🙄😅)
Its my night to do bedtime, story etc and then I’ll sit on the balcony and listen to music/read…not that exciting!

Anyone else?

38, northwest highlands, waiting for my DD to tire herself out and go to bed. Mustering the energy to go read the bear hunt book over and over for half an hour or so. Once asleep I will finish watching Netflix (the sandman) and maybe do a video call to family overseas. Been a scorcher today and I’ve been recovering from a virus so just felt sapped and not enjoyed the heat. Did an hour round trip to get a takeaway as I just couldn’t face cooking and got to listen to my tunes for 30 mins each way 👍

I'm just waiting for my taxi to work. I working a night shift 9-7:30 in the morning. I'm looking forward to the air conditioning. Have a lovely evening everyone.

47, lying on the sofa in my nightie, sponging myself down, as I’ve been out in the raging heat, at an athletics competition for DS (12) today. I swear I’m melting from the inside out - surprised I didn’t spontaneously combust.

Badtasteflump · 13/08/2022 20:39

In South East, still really hot. Just finished having a BBQ, now watching Grease with a glass of wine & shedding a tear or two for the lovely ONJ 😢

Sodie · 13/08/2022 20:39

Watching old wife swap uk on youtube. Seriously dee and sonia episode is AMAZING.

GuiltyPleasure · 13/08/2022 20:40

50, North Yorkshire. Got back from holiday in Ibiza this afternoon. 2 loads of washing done. The last lot is staying on the line tonight (I'm aware it will probably get darked on 😂)
Me & DH are still in holiday mode, so we're already a good way through a chilled bottle of wine & just ordered a Chinese takeaway.

Had a shower and got changed, and about to leave the house to do night duty at Samaritans.

A580Hojas · 13/08/2022 20:44

Sitting out now that the garden is cool. Enjoying the cacophany of my neighbour's children screeching and arguing and their parents yelling at them from their enormous echoing kitchen. It started at 8 this morning so more than 12 hours straight :(

lolly07766 · 13/08/2022 20:47

Cambridge here, but on our way back from Hunstanton after having a walk on the beach and fish and chips, stopped at Kings Lynn to watch Banger/Stock car racing, brilliant fun.
Have an adult autistic non verbal son, and he loved it!

itssquidstella · 13/08/2022 20:50

37, currently iin an Air BnB in the Peak District with my husband, our 3 month old son and my husband's brother. DH and his brother are watching a Bond film; the baby is asleep, and I’m drinking a glass of wine and reading Mumsnet!

Thethreecs · 13/08/2022 20:54

Had planned a quiet night with a wine and casualty as it's been quite a stressful day here. My dd who's severely disabled and is prone to mega melt downs over noise had a rough day with the screeching kids back and front of house, so no room was quiet, couldn't have her nap today so I put her to bed early at 8.30 and a knob of a neighbour has decided in the last 10 mins to take out the ride on and cut the grass in the estate, our estate is surrounded by fields, grass and normally takes 4 hours to cut!! So dd is awake now and distraught and I'm just hoping this doesn't bring on a seizure.

ElMochuelo · 13/08/2022 20:55

49, Midlands, in bed ill with Covid (2nd time). Want to go to sleep but DS 14 also has Covid and is coughing constantly in his bedroom next to mine and it’s stressing me out.

lljkk · 13/08/2022 20:57

Waiting for my AirBnB host to help me fetch boat out of his jungle garden. Tired legs. Bike puncture to fix, too. I think I've eaten enough food for tonight. Host is quite fond of wine so wine may happen.

SilverOverEverything · 13/08/2022 20:57

And I’m also contemplating whether staying in a Premier Inn during the winter season, will be more economical than heating our home!

lljkk · 13/08/2022 20:58

ps: husband is back home with teenagers. He had a little jolly across the country last week & now it's my turn.

missverstaendnis · 13/08/2022 21:00

37, SE England. Watching shite on Youtube (thanks for the recommendation @Sodie ), after yet another shower and soothing a sunburn I didn't anticipate.
Probably not the exciting update you would like OP. Portugal sounds just as exciting

Smogtopia · 13/08/2022 21:00

HuffleWoof · 13/08/2022 21:03

MeenzAmRhoi · 13/08/2022 21:06

From the UK, live on Germany. We had pizza for dinner, put toddler DS to sleep then DH and I have been chilling on the sofa together watching the gray man on Netflix.

MeenzAmRhoi · 13/08/2022 21:06

In Germany*

🙄

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 13/08/2022 21:07

49 and the north coast of NI which is absolutely stunning in the gorgeous weather we're having! I've just spent the day at the beach with family, showered, ate pizza and now enjoying some peace and quiet and Mumsnet before I pass out in bed, I'd forgotten how much beach days take it out of me!
