If you could live the life of a famous person, who would you choose?

I was thinking about this last night and I think I would choose Kate Moss. I know she has had some turbulent times in her life but she also seems to have had so much fun and amazing experiences, let alone the riches and a seemingly sweet and beautiful child. She also seems like a very nice and well rounded person in all the interviews I've seen of her recently. Plus she has great taste!

I'm a bit shocked that the highest aspiration of some on here is to live the life of an ex model.

It's not because she's a model, still working by the way. She's had an iconic career as a model but it's her style & she seems so comfortable with herself which is unusual in showbiz. She just looks like she has so much fun.

Lots of successful novelists out there I’d like to be like. Pref one who has a book turned into a film. Can be famous creative and busy without nutters following you on social medi

Albert Einstein

KohlaParasaurus · 13/08/2022 18:57

Sir Derek Jacobi. Well educated, talented, successful in a career that might not have been a predictable choice for a working class boy, yet also able to live away from the limelight and have a stable personal life.

Or if I was to choose a woman, I agree with previous posters' suggestion of Pippa Middleton. Seems to have had an idyllic early life, well connected and wealthy, will never need to do anything she doesn't want to do, yet spends most of her life under the media radar and has floated past attempts to squeeze some drama out of her. That's not to say she's the woman I admire but a life of serenity really appeals to me.

And if i was a woman
beryl markham
though probably unheard of todat

BadNomad · 13/08/2022 19:01

Does Ted Bundy count?

I have a list of people I wish to get rid of.

Whosaidthattt · 13/08/2022 19:08

Kate Moss' lifestyle
Amal Clooney's wardrobe

Lisbeth50 · 13/08/2022 19:08

The Queen. She's met and talked to so many important political figures, travelled all over the world and has lots of horses.

CharlotteSt · 13/08/2022 19:09

Tom Hanks. Seems to be a top bloke, has made some great films and he gets to live on heavenly Antiparos.

Snoken · 13/08/2022 19:15

MacKenzie Scott would be someone very fulfilling to live as. I wouldn't even mind my sleazeball husband Jeff cheating on me and taking off.

Justcallmebebes · 13/08/2022 19:17

Heather Dubrow especially after I saw her stoned Grin

Inextremis · 13/08/2022 19:18

Jo Brand. She really doesn't give a fuck.

Winniewonka · 13/08/2022 19:19

BadNomad - not even vaguely funny and so disrespectful to the families of the young women and children murdered.

RosaMoline · 13/08/2022 19:36

Sadly no longer with us, but my icon & Goddess, the divine Dame Elizabeth Taylor. In her prime, she was exquisite. The most beautiful woman in living memory. What a life she had. Passionate marriages and love affairs. A wonderful actress, exciting hedonistic life…she truly epitomised the glamorous superstar.

Hungryharriet · 13/08/2022 19:40

Michelle Obama. A very classy lady indeed. Must get off Mumsnet but too hot to do anything else.

Yes. Sadly not with us anymore but Maeve Binchy.

VladmirsPoutine · 13/08/2022 19:50

Beyonce or Rihanna. They are extremely beautiful and talented and very successful yet private.

KentuckyDerbyandJoan · 13/08/2022 19:53

Kate Middleton or Michelle Obama.

clary · 13/08/2022 19:56

Georgia Tennant - talented, successful, sexy, beautiful, feisty, lovely kids and gets to go to bed with Doctor Who.

Or Michelle Obama - as above but Barack Obama instead. 😀😀

Lonelybanna · 13/08/2022 19:57

Denzel Washington's wife- he would be such a nice grounded husband to have imo 😁

Read the title and thought of a few people but all of them have messed up lives.

In the end I wouldn't want to live any of their loves but would rather just have the money.

Even JK Rowling. She has to deal with so much aggro from people,.and now death threats.

Much rather just have the money than live the lives these people do.

This. Massive respect to JKR but i dont have the mental strength to deal with all the shit she gets from nutters who are so far removed from reality on the daily.

pippa middleton has a very glam life but has a degree of privacy for someone so well-known.

id like to be hideously wealthy but completely unknown. Attending glam events but with nobody caring i was there. As a middle-aged women that shouldn't be too difficult…

clary · 13/08/2022 20:00

Oooh or Victoria Coren Mitchell, so smart and funny. Tho her brother is a tit

Same. Drug user. Druggie partners. Very grim lifestyle. Her nose isn’t looking too great. Rude to people. Ew.

TheRookie · 13/08/2022 20:05

Blake Lively! Ryan Reynolds seems like an absolute catch and they have a gin company 🤣

CPL593H · 13/08/2022 20:06

Audrey Hepburn. Beautiful (even though she didn't think she was) intelligent, talented, a style icon and did so much genuinely good and heartfelt work for charities when she was older. I've never read or heard a bad word about her and think she probably was as lovely as she seemed.
