If you could live the life of a famous person, who would you choose?

I was thinking about this last night and I think I would choose Kate Moss. I know she has had some turbulent times in her life but she also seems to have had so much fun and amazing experiences, let alone the riches and a seemingly sweet and beautiful child. She also seems like a very nice and well rounded person in all the interviews I've seen of her recently. Plus she has great taste!

Kate bush. Musical genius with a low key unflashy lifestyle.

notreallynoo · 13/08/2022 17:15

I'd be Elsa pataky . Chris Hemsworths wife. I'd be a good wife to Chris .

Kate Bush - extraordinarily talented and highly original musician. Humble, kind, interesting.

Reese Witherspoon - her life looks amazing, she always looks polished, lovely family, interesting career, own production company putting out films and shows with strong female leads.

Would be good if I knew how to spell her name correctly.

I thought so too. 😂

Oh, I've just realised. I want Geri Halliwell's life. (Big Formula 1 fan). Flying around the world in white jeans to glamorous location with my hot husband chatting to the pit crew while the nanny entertains my adorable six year old. Nobody mention the carbon footprint.

I bloody love F1, but honestly, married to Christian Horner? That sleazeball that lapped up the attention of a spice girl despite having a baby with his long term girlfriend? There are plenty of people connected to F1 that would be a much better option!

I would go with Karin Slaughter. Her name is in the public eye but her face isn't, so a fairly normal life outside of the home can be had but with more money.

lightand · 13/08/2022 17:21

Good question! Will have a think.

lightand · 13/08/2022 17:23

Personally I think I would like to be one of the men.
Strange that everyone wanted to be a woman again!

lightand · 13/08/2022 17:24

Well except for about 3

Horcruxe · 13/08/2022 17:27

Read the title and thought of a few people but all of them have messed up lives.

In the end I wouldn't want to live any of their loves but would rather just have the money.

Even JK Rowling. She has to deal with so much aggro from people,.and now death threats.

Much rather just have the money than live the lives these people do.

I did consider saying Neil Gaimen before I got to Karin Slaughter. But his face is much better known.

DuesToTheDirt · 13/08/2022 17:29

Gertrude Bell. What an exotic life.

jollygoose · 13/08/2022 17:31

Agnetha Faltzcog sorry can't spell name. She is so gorgeous and that lady sure can sing. I would love to know the real Abba secrets.

msssm · 13/08/2022 17:32

Ann Wilson. Amazing voice, lives in my favourite city in the world and has been very involved in the music scene of my fav genre.

I'd have loved to have met and worked with some of the people she has. Plus did I mention the voice?

Soubriquet · 13/08/2022 17:33

Anna Kendrick. She seems so awesome and down to earth.

NumberTheory · 13/08/2022 16:54

Putin, so I could stop the war.

If you were Putin you wouldn't be stopping the war.

I'm assuming we are actually supposed to live the lives, not just have the money and privilege then do whatever.

For example.

You cant say - I'd be Boris Johnson.

I'd get rid of sleaze and open Sure Start Centres, and then I'd give more support to the poorest.

He wouldn't do that, so neither would you.

Crankley · 13/08/2022 17:37

I'm a bit shocked that the highest aspiration of some on here is to live the life of an ex model.

My choice is about as far away from that as you can get - I'm obviously totally out of sync and agree with lightand.

YanTanTetheraPetheraPimp · 13/08/2022 17:44

Elizabeth 1 or Michelle Obama

LadyOfTheCanyon · 13/08/2022 17:45

Probably J-lo. But I'd dump Baffleck.

Louise0701 · 13/08/2022 17:49

@CrappyJob Karin slaughter is a great shout!

StripeyDeckchair · 13/08/2022 17:52

Judith Dench
Maggie Smith

Both a lot older than me but what amazing talent they have and varied and interesting lives.

Tamsin Greig - more my age.
Sharpen Spiteri - I'd love to front a band

NanaNelly · 13/08/2022 17:55

She’s not famous or a celebrity in the traditional sense but I’d chose to be my Gynae Oncologist because of how she looks after other women and what she does for them. She’s also kind and very nice as well.

Celebrity wise it would be Alex Pollizi. She’s my girl crush.

creamwitheverything · 13/08/2022 17:59

Amal Clooney

TheWayTheLightFalls · 13/08/2022 18:01

My first thought was Tim Ferris, weirdly. Women? I can’t think of anyone famous whose shoes I’d want to step into. One of my distant neighbours is a celeb and I always smile at her ability to be doing the school run in trackies one minute and on stage in [famous thing] the next. But I’m not sure I want to experience it!

OfficiallyBroken · 13/08/2022 18:11

Alicia Moore aka P!nk. Incredibly talented and just appears to live an enviable life that revolves around family and happiness.

I know she had a bumpy road getting to where she is, but as a woman of the same age I'd definitely trade places with her.

Mol1628 · 13/08/2022 18:14

Kate Bush. Incredibly talented, intelligent and successful but also very sensible and grounded.
