If you could live the life of a famous person, who would you choose?

I was thinking about this last night and I think I would choose Kate Moss. I know she has had some turbulent times in her life but she also seems to have had so much fun and amazing experiences, let alone the riches and a seemingly sweet and beautiful child. She also seems like a very nice and well rounded person in all the interviews I've seen of her recently. Plus she has great taste!

I thought Kate Moss straight away too. She's amazing looking, rich, independent and always seems to be having so much fun. She has gorgeous houses, cars and clothes, and the same friends she's had for decades. She doesn't seem to care about ageing or what people think about her.

I wouldn't like to have her taste in men though Envy

Elsa Pataky. I’m so jealous!

Haybo26 · 13/08/2022 15:16

Jane Macdonald. All those cruises and holidays...what's not to love? 🤣

MomwasCasual · 13/08/2022 15:22

Gwyneth Paltrow.

Super rich, healthy without being fanatical, beautiful but still showing signs of ageing.

I'd swan around all day being all glowy, coming up with ideas for wax melts that smell like colostrum and designs rose quartz labia pegs.

ChipsRoastOrBoiled · 13/08/2022 15:27

Lady Hale; she's so intelligent, thoughtful, sharp and has made it to the top in a male dominated field.
And JK Rowling. These two woman are fantastic examples and role models.

Ghislainedefeligonde · 13/08/2022 15:53

JK Rowling is my hero but she came through lots of adversity so certainly no walk in the park. She continues to get a hard time from certain people but what’s she’s doing is of such benefit to so many people that it’s hard to see past that.

Serena Williams is an absolute sporting Goddess to me, again she has had personal tragedy and immensely hard times, not to mention the punishing training she will have done for many years. I’d love to play tennis like her so that maybe sways it more in Serena’s direction

Or maybe I’ll compromise and choose tennis plus general amazing person and go with Martina Navratilova

Either David Attenborough or Zara Phillips

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 13/08/2022 16:13

Yy to Zara Philips, lots of privacy for someone who can text the Queen for a gossip.

Ricky Gervais - straightforward, creates his own (excellent) work, no kids. Luxury life without filling his face full of plastic.

athrowaway · 13/08/2022 16:15

Steve Irwin's life looked pretty great til the end - so maybe one of his kids who seem to be following on in his footsteps but are only marginally famous and can probably mainly live their lives without being harassed.

Theblacksheepandme · 13/08/2022 16:27

Imal Clooney - Not because she's married to George but I think her career must be so fulfilling. I think if I saw the two of them in real life that I would be more excited to see Imal.

JaneBonda · 13/08/2022 16:34

I would pay to not be Kate Moss or anyone in the glamour industry.

I would like to be someone who has used their brains or has a great talent. Lady Hale is a good pick. Or Mary Beard. Or Hillary Mantel. Or a top female CEO like Elizabeth Wojcici or Marissa Mayer.
I also would be happy to be Navratilova, or Roger Federer.

CredibilityProblem · 13/08/2022 16:36

I honestly wouldn't swap places with Gwyneth Paltrow if it meant having to spout the utter bollocks she spouts with a straight face. There is such a thing as self-respect. Even though her husband's a hotty.

Theblacksheepandme · 13/08/2022 16:37

Would be good if I knew how to spell her name correctly.

ohfook · 13/08/2022 16:37

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 13/08/2022 13:03

Pippa Middleton, all the good bits of her sister's life without the press and public scrutiny

Yeah I would agree with that or the poster that said Jodie Turner Smith - beautiful, insanely talented and she seems very confident too.

Sascha33 · 13/08/2022 16:40

Emma Bunton. Experienced being part of one of the world’s biggest girl bands and still seems relatively normal, with a longstanding partner and no big dramas to her name..(although obvs no-one ever knows what goes on behind the scenes..)

JaneBonda · 13/08/2022 16:41

Pippa Middleton's life seems incredibly boring to me. I know no one will believe me but I actually prefer my life.

CredibilityProblem · 13/08/2022 16:46

Mary Beard is amazing, as is Hilary Mantel - but if I swapped would I have to be their age? I'm fifty, so nobody's lifestyle and achievements would be worth sacrificing twenty years of life. I'd be delighted to be a fifty year old Mary Beard, I'm not sure that Hilary Mantel's achievements are worth her debilitating health problems.

I'd take Melinda French Gates' life though, because I suspect that the health care she has available more than offsets the fact that she's a few years older than me.

I thinks she's just finished doing a masters and has three small kids. I'd be really quite busy with all that.

badbaduncle · 13/08/2022 16:49

Rhianna because I want a massive bills in Barbados. I'd dump the bloke and live there with my baby ❤️❤️

JaneBonda · 13/08/2022 16:50

Yeah the 3 small kids is part of the boring part!

I hadn't thought about the age thing. That makes it too complicated.

CredibilityProblem · 13/08/2022 16:52

Oh, I've just realised. I want Geri Halliwell's life. (Big Formula 1 fan). Flying around the world in white jeans to glamorous location with my hot husband chatting to the pit crew while the nanny entertains my adorable six year old. Nobody mention the carbon footprint.

NumberTheory · 13/08/2022 16:54

Putin, so I could stop the war.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 13/08/2022 16:59

I rather fancy the rufty tufty outdoorsy lifestyle of Kate Humble. Or should myvsights be set a bit higher?

JaneBonda · 13/08/2022 17:00

Oh I wouldn't mind being Helen Mirren or Helena Bonham Carter or Meryl Streep. Not Nicole Kidman though.

KimWexlersPonyTail · 13/08/2022 17:03

Alex Polizzi. Great figure clothes and lifestyle, swanning around all those luxury hotes her family own.
