A fiend signed me up to this FB page. It seems to be one women selling loads of really good theatre tickets that she buys in bulk? Lots of positive messages saying "thanks for a great night!" Etc but the odd stroppy message about her replying to things/ sending stuff late.
I can't quite work out the measure of things. I'd love to take my DS to see some shows but I'm not 100% sure if it's legitimacy.
Does anyone have any experience of using it and could explain a bit more about it?

So basically a ticket tout then.

What does she offer that you cannot get from buying direct?

I have used it and it was fine. Paid £50 each for stall seats for beauty and the beast last week and took ds1. I wouldn't be able to afford tickets direct for stall seats. Got the tickets emailed to me 48 hours before the show.

Because I have taken groups to the theatre in the past I was actually contacted by one of the big theatre groups to see if I wanted to do something similar. Basically buy tickets on a group discount and sell them on to people at a price lower than they could buy them for direct.

So it can be legitimate but you do need to be careful.

The tickets will have been bought on a group booking discount so will be cheaper than those direct from the theatre.

Is there any way I can find out if this is the case here?

I don't know. It was several years ago and I never pursued it.

TugboatAnnie · 14/08/2022 10:59

Have used this loads. She buys group tickets and sells them at the reduced price. All brilliant seats. She states (a million times ) she will email tickets within 48-24 hours of the performance and to check your junk mail (repeated a million times) if you can't see them.
The FB page is full of panickers who don't read the rules!

Hi, please can we ask you to share the direct link to the FB page. I've looked but all I can find is amateur dramatic groups!

CSpencer · 29/10/2022 12:07

Hi, are you able to share the FB page as Inhave been unable to locate it? Thanks

Iamhereforthechats · 09/01/2023 15:39

I wouldn’t recommend using them. They told me the day before I was supposed to be going to a show that they messed up the booking and we would be refunded. Unreliable and not worth the hassle or disappointment in my opinion

josephjohnson · 09/01/2023 20:14

@Iamhereforthechats I forgot about this thread!
That doesn't surprise me tbh. I still see updates from the FB page, though I haven't bought anything from her. Whilst the majority of posts are from people who are happy with the service, sometimes things go wrong and she can get really stroppy about it. It's not very professional!

josephjohnson · 09/01/2023 21:41

@90yomakeuproom @CSpencer search for Break a Leg theatre and events on FB and you should find them.
