There was howler in their reply to my complaint.

Background:

I sent back a box of very expensive champagne truffle last week.

When I opened them and tasted them they tasted different. DH didn't think they were any different.

They come in a nice box and I had kept last years to store a single bauble in. When I checked last years box and this years box, I discovered that they had seriously reduced the champagne content and also the rum.

I wrote to them pointing that if I pay a premium price (£18) for a box of what are considered to be premium chocolates then I do not expect to be subjected to economies.

They wrote back this week, enclosing another box. WTH !!!!they are not as nice as they used to be, so why would I want another box. ?

They said they were sorry that I was not happy with the product, and that they had past my comments to their production team.

Grr

Send them back again, saying you didn't want a replacement boxm you want something else.
You might get two boxes.

Slouchy · 19/01/2008 17:24

Oh no! Got a box of those myself which i was saving for an evening in.

(better eat them soon though or they might go passed their best before date)

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 19/01/2008 17:24

But seriously it smacks of the office junior being asked to deal with it.

Damn I used to love those chocolates.

Does this mean that they have gone off and are less alcohol-y??

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 19/01/2008 17:28

Slouchy

I probably only noticed because DH buys me a box every year for Christmas and we have been together nigh on 20 years.

Complain again, seriously, and tell them you don;t feel it has been dealt with properly, obviously your point has not been noted or why would they send you another box?

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 19/01/2008 17:30

It does indeed.

Marc de Champagne. 3.7% used to be higher.

White rum 2.8% this was closer to 4%

DH has been buying me them for about 3 years.

But this year he bought the pink ones instead of the cream ones, and I thought that was the reason they tasted different.

Bloody cheapskates. I've a good mind to write in myself and complain.

I might get a free box, even if they are inferior now.

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 19/01/2008 17:32

VS

I fully intend to, I am really annoyed.

I also asked them in the letter who the area stocked their drinking chocolate (DS 6.5) refuses to drink Green & Blacks.

They scribbled the stockist information on the end of the letter as an afterthought.

Just buy minstrels and dip them in meths, anyone that spends 1 quid on a brand choc is a loon.

I have been sorting my life Gym Junky. How are you?

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 19/01/2008 18:24

I am fine thank you, you know doing that constant juggling thing that motherhood brings.

I have seen your other thread, you are right some relationships are worth staying and working at, but in order to do that you will have to set down paramaters.

What ever weight I may be, it does not change the way I am.

If you feel the need to talk to me, then we need to do it on a one speaks, one listens, one speaks, one listens, basis. Otherwise it just constitutes a diatribe aka verbal abuse.
