should I admit to having bought cockles, escargots, hellman's mayonnaise and whole grain mustard?

OP posts:
MarsLady · 19/01/2008 16:58

Clearly a dizzy spell!

SorenLorensen · 19/01/2008 17:06

If I bought snails dh would think I was certifiable, never mind suffering from PMT. You didn't really buy snails, did you? You should see my mouth - it is pursed in a moue of distaste in appropriate Gallic fashion.

SorenLorensen · 19/01/2008 17:07

I've got my period and I just bought normal things like 6 Cadbury's Creme eggs, a 4 pack of mini Toblerones and a bar of Green and Black's butterscotch.

Twiglett · 19/01/2008 17:09

well the snails are because DS has been asking to try 'l'escargot' for over a year .. and he's tried chinese snails to a big yuk (agree with him there) .. and I just happened to notice they had pre-prepared frozen snails that one just pops in the oven for 10 minutes for him to try for £3.50 which seems so much cheaper than eurostar tickets to Paris

I should get some for ds1 then - to make up for his disappointment in not going to France on his year 6 residential trip (none of them are going - they decided as his is a big year it was too expensive...they are going to experience the culture and cuisine of..er...Lincolnshire instead. Sausages instead of snails... )
