If i go wake my DH up?

He works nights.. no overtime this week so he's been great about staying up til 11 in the morning so i can get some sleep.

DS and I didn't have a good night thursday, so i only had 4 hours sleep, but DH was busy so no lie-in for me... DH went to bed at 11.30 and had 7hours sleep.

He then got up and we had dinner...blahblah.

He didn't come to bed until 4.30am, but DS woke up at 7.30, i'm running on 6hrs sleep.. i can barely keep my eyes open.

AIBU if i go wake my DH up and ask him to take over being as he's had nearly 14hrs sleep in the last 24hrs to my 10 in 36?

The only reason i'm asking is usually i let him sleep himself out saturday morning after working all week, but i could be looking at another 2 hrs before he wakes up.

im not sure. You know what they are like, well i know what mine is like. If you think he wont cause a fuss and end up in a row then wake him. If there is a chance of a row id leave it. Is it worth it? You can always go back to bed when he does wake? How olds your son?

I would make sure you got a lot of rest this weekend and your dh did a lot of the childcare once fully awake.

I think its unfair to wake someone already sleeping if you're going to have a row (noone know how long they've been asleep if you know what I mean).

Hope you get the rest you deserve

I'd leave him to sleep, especially as he's been great all week, letting you get some sleep.

He can take over when he wakes up

can you have a nap with ds

shatteredmumsrus · 19/01/2008 11:58

i know what its like K, we still battle over who is going to get up. When we have a night out the other one gets up with the children, well thats the way its meant to happen anyway but when I go out he lets them into our bed and puts the tv on so im lying there with a pounding head with scooby doo blaring and no covers ahhhh!!!! Mine are 3 and 7 now but the youngest one was and still is a terrible sleeper and there is nothing worse than sleep deprivation. I was soooo down and felt and looked like shit all the time. Will you lo have a nap anytime soon?

Emprexia · 19/01/2008 11:58

no chance, DS is full of beans still.. lol.

He might if i take him to bed with me, but that'd wake Dh up anyway, so i have to wait for him to drop.
