To ask why her credit on phone keeps draining ?

Got DD a phone last month, PAYG 3 network. Put £10 on it last week amd got the data pack. Today it's run out of credit. Seems only to last a week ?
She rarely uses it for calls or texts, only Internet but even then its just whataspp or Facebook. She doesn't stream videos or anything.
Can anyone shed any light as to what's going on? I can't afford to keep topping it up so often yet she needs the phone

We got a new router recently. My phone will look like it's connected to Wi-Fi - it'll have the Wi-Fi symbol on the top of the screen, and show Wi-Fi as On in the control centre. But if I actually click on Wi-Fi in settings, it'll reveal a spinny wheel that shows it's not connected.

But you can only see that in Settings.

I'd get a plan, I only pay a tenner a month.

Me too but I'm with Vodafone, I get the Big Value Bundles.

Well I thought she did but now I am thinking not. The phone was topped up with £10 but as I say, a week on, she could make no calls, not use the Internet and when I tried to make a call on there myself, was telling me the credit was too low.
I'm just confused. Probably should get onto 3 to get to the bottom of it.

Stick another £10 and buy the deal. It should be fine. I reckon it's like you say and there wasn't enough credit, although you would expect a message to say it wasn't processed.

Sounds like it wasnt converted to the bundle as even if she ran out of data she would still be able yo make calls and texts as its unlimited

This is easily solved by just checking the data usage in her phone's settings.

Something doesn't add up.
My dc are on pay as you go.
They only use Internet for WiFi and occasionally when necessary.
I spend between £20 and £40 a year on them. More towards the £20 than otherwise.

I'm on a contract with free 5Gb, free texts and phone calls. I leave my data on alll the time, and use the Internet when I want to.
I don't generally watch videos but I play games and browse the Internet. I rarely use more than 2Gb a month.

Either she is not properly connected to the WiFi, and watching lots of videos or there's something else draining the data.
