So disappointed with my eufy, what am I doing wrong?

I’ve resisted the urge for so long and finally, after reading one too many ‘it’s life changing, wish I’d done this years earlier’ reviews I took the plunge on prime day

just run it for the first time (after taking an absolute age to set up) and am seriously unimpressed. Left huge swathes of the carpet untouched, and went over the same spots more times than I can count. Missed very obvious, loose bits on the floor that I deliberately left as a test. Then took itself back off to its charging station apparently thinking it was a job well done?

I spent so long moving cables, things off the floor then having to redo the bits it missed etc I literally could have just given it a hoover myself.

so disappointed I fell for the hype. What am I missing?!

yabu - I love my Eufy, robot hoovers are amazing
yanbu - they are rubbish

Totally overhyped, like everything on MN.

We whip the cordless vacuum out now as the Eufy just doesn’t cut it. Bought the super duper one too. She is allowed to do the kitchen but as for the rest of the house, she just can’t be relied upon 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do any of your models self charge and return to cleaning if it's not done?

Yes. Don’t they all

then Once charged they go back to where they lost battery and carry on

but tbh mine rarely loses battery /goes flat as don’t have a massive house

I'm glad you started this thread OP. I'm disappointed too. I don't want to have it waste energy going over the same spots. Also I find it when it knocks against things, dust falls out. I don't use it much which probably says a lot.
