dd's dance teacher!

dd is 4... has been doing a dance class for a term. today dd said 'i didn't get a sticker for being good, why not?'. for the last 2 sessions the dance teachers is dishing out stcikers for being 'good'. whether this is for good dancing or good behaviour i dont know. dd is upset at this,and cant understand why she didnt get one. I know there is no way she misbehaves in class. the whole point of the lessons was for fun and confidence building.

Are you sure that everyone else is getting a sticker...perhaps she is only giving out a couple a week to keep up good behaviour from the whole class

Oh FGS...at this age it should either be no one gets a sticker or everyone gets a sticker!!

not everyone else is getting a sticker.. just afew... i just think its wrong at this age... they should all get one for turning up and participating! dd says its for good dancing... pointing toes etc... its ballet... so now she thinks shes no good! a confidence boost?!

waste of a sticker. my ds(6) comes out covered in them at school.

I would actually agree with the stickers for older children, if they are serious about dance it would encourage them. Your child is four though....that is so unfair and wrong i feel at that age.

Agree stickers for all at this age, but don't kid yourself that she couldn't possibly misbehave in class .

My dd's dance teacher gives pink smarties at the end of each class to everyone!
