OP posts:
knackeredcat · 15/07/2022 09:43

Comic Sans font, it's the annoying "I'm mad, me!" of fonts

JudyLemon · 15/07/2022 09:44

Owning a second home without a doubt.

How about you OP? What are you banning?

zaza687 · 15/07/2022 09:52

Animal cruelty for sure

OP posts:
MrsMeatball · 15/07/2022 09:53

Breeding animals to sell as pets. I'll allow rescue pets only.
I hate the idea that animals are a commodity and people think they have some kind of right to own one because they'll love it and it will make them feel good. It's such a weird and old fashioned concept.

People being such sensitive pansies about everything, and 'ism' (racism, sexism etc)."

What a shit world you want for your children.

JudgeRindersMinder · 15/07/2022 09:57

People who say “we’re” pregnant

Oh my god, I encountered someone in high management who uses comic sans as default and I was just glad I don't work for them because I would have to put a notice in😂

Smoking. I hate the stink of smoke on my hair and clothing because of other people's cigarettes.

How do you know if someone is a chav?

Because they.....

go somewhere and they rock up. Loud, screechy and with badly behaved kids.

Okay so you can only be a chav if you have kids then?

GCHeretic · 15/07/2022 10:18

Property as an 'investment' is particularly evil.

Property should be cheap & affordable and available to all. It should be a basic human right. Banning second homes & multiple home ownership, which have driven up property prices. A house should be a home not an 'investment'.

How can housing be a human right? Who gets the obligation to build and maintain a house for you to allow that right to live in it to exist?

Motorbikes
cyclists in lycra

Motorbikes? They are wonderful things. What don’t you like about them?

CounsellorTroi · 15/07/2022 10:20

Light-hearted: fucking coriander, just the disgusting leaves.

I'd certainly ban coriander from being put in hummus. Thyme or rosemary go with it so much better.

andi62 · 15/07/2022 10:20

Whistling.

The Daily Mail.

NotSoSlimShady8 · 15/07/2022 10:21

A lot of people on benefits (think benefits britain) that say they have no intention to find a job, smoke 50 a day and keep having more and more kids for a pay rise and a bigger house .. and laugh about it 😡 - I would ban them being allowed to have an uncapped amount of children whilst intending for them to be paid for by tax payers .. where we are struggling with two full time jobs to afford to live and buy a house and have to discuss if we can afford and save to have a second child - what a system

RooniIWazlib · 15/07/2022 00:44

I'd ban threads that are dog whistles to goady fuckers who like to hijack light-hearted threads.

I'd like to ban posters who pounce on harmless, lighthearted threads and post a sneery, spiteful answer to a completely inoffensive question. Actually, scratch that - I'd like MNHQ to ban them.

YacaAlpaca · 15/07/2022 10:24

OTC codeine. Someone I love dearly has a very serious addiction and it’s killing them. How can something so dangerous be so easy to get?

So just go on benefits then?

Phrenologistsfinger · 15/07/2022 10:26

I want to ban the consumption of meat and fish, I would assume thatvis inplicit but perhaps not. In my defence, I was writing this late whilst in bed with covid!

I might relent on the musicals but I hold firm to the rest.

DixonD · 15/07/2022 10:26

ClumpingBambooIsALie · 15/07/2022 02:19

It's easy. You just save them on your phone as

(Hannah who works down the florist's)
Hannah Flowers

(Hannah that I met at a party and all I can remember is she's from France)
Hannah French

(Hannah who I know through her mum Julie)
Hannah Julie'sdaughter

(Hannah who's a brunette)
Hannah Brown

Even easier if everyone else uses the same shorthand to distinguish one Hannah from another too. Then I guess if she has kids they could use the same distinguisher, just for the sake of simplicity and so people know they're related.

I'd ban sneezing. There's just no good reason for it.

That’s exactly how surnames started in the first place!

Ooh, I have a long list!

the internal combustion engine
fossil fuels
Meat
fish
eggs/dairy
animal cruelty/neglect
plastic
inane shite like the Kardashians
musicals
TWAW
climate change denial
fireworks (other than public displays for special holidays, requiring a licence).
plastic grass
concreting front gardens for cars
tree-felling (unless for H&S or tree protection reasons, eg disease control or limited controlled forestry for necessary commodities)
building on agricultural land or greenfield sites
the assumption that women want, have or can have children
misogyny
cigarette smoking outside in public areas

Fuck me what a joyless world that would be.

JJ12 · 15/07/2022 10:31

Alcohol
football

I don't understand what either of these actually want to ban, but I'd ban people coming onto AIBU to drone on about how horrid everyone is.
