...to want to get a machine gun and blam everyone at the SKY broadband call centre?

Monkeybird is back online! Only farking just though and at the mercy of my local wireless hotspots...

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKING SKy, I could kill em all...

Right, get this and how stupid it is and how useless they try (try! they don't succeed) to make ME look like the stupid one:

I change over my BB from Tiscali (double grrr) to Sky (triple grr) in November... After the usual grr inducing palaver involving ridiculous stories of bent tie pairs and lines cut and interplanetary ozone macular degeneration crises or somesuch, an 3.5 weeks of downtime longer than we were supposed to have, they FINALLY got us back online in late November. Complete with lovely wireless router which means I could MN to my hearts content from my bedroom with my lovely big boy snoozing quietly beside me...

And here's the crucial bit: the SKY (grr) router ONLY works when your account is live...

So last week (ie 6 weeks later), they leave a phone message to say, breezily, 'oh we have an update on your account...' I dutifully phone back. 'You're going to go live on the 10th Jan...' 'Huh?' I say, but I already am live.... Excep of course, later that day, the broadband goes down...

Cue days of telephone callcentre tennis, me doing my best 'I'm not getting angry I just want it sorted voice'.

Sure enough, on the ACTUAL day they'd told me i'd have my BB up and running, despite that fact it had been fine, it was still not back up and running. and all the time I'm speaking to different idiots and they're trying to tell me i'm making up the fact I've had BB all this time, I couldn't have, despite the fact they agreed everytime that my router would not have worked had my SKY account not have been live...

then they tell me, oh it's gonna be 2-3 weeks since there's a fault on the BT line. Which there was last time back in November. And they took 3 weeks to fix. this time apparently they believe the sky account was 'attached' to someone else's phone line.

Only problem is I'm moving house in the next two weeks. Argh!

So was advised - by a SKY callcentre bunny - just to cancel this 'provisioned account' and set it up again at the new house. Meaning I only have one 'delay' rather than the aeons it would take to process otherwise.

change over my BT line dutifully and try to put in my order to move everything over to new house.

Fucking arse on the Sky line then tries to tell me I'll be charged a moving house fee of 50 quid.

Oh no I bloody won't I told him. you try and charge me that and I'll be licking Richard Branson's arse quicker than you can say 'call centre working is the death of the soul and you should have stayed in school longer...'

they're supposed to be coming out to my new house to fix things up tomorrow.

I await with baited breath, axe and arsenic at the ready...

MB, If you keep your account to Sky, then I wish you good luck ... personally I would rather eat my own eye balls.
