Couldn’t find another one but found about 10 complaining about it.

I am living my best life. I hate cold, rain, miserable grey wet weather, hate wrapping up in layers, wearing socks and shoes (I could go on)

I love the sun on my face, going for walks in the early morning and evening, eating outdoors, seeing kids get excited about water pistols and paddling pools. Eating salads and loads of fruit, wearing sandals or no shoes at all. Being able to leave the cushions on the garden furniture without worrying about them being rained on.

Anyone else enjoying this?

(If there is another existing thread can someone link to it and I will request this one be deleted)

I'm also loving seeing everyone's summer outfits. Just on the school run I saw a woman who looked amazing in a mint green jumpsuit that I instantly coveted, and another woman in one of those very long, loose-fitting dresses in dark green leopard print - which I didn't covet, because I'm too busty for that style, it makes me look like a ship in full sail, but was fabulous in her.

So good not to have to wear a coat!

questionthyme · 11/07/2022 09:58

Makes me want to diet more

Still unlikely though.

Lots of men with their lovely, crisp white shirt sleeves rolled up on my commute to work

Mmm. Not sure that balances out all the shirtless sunburned beer bellies we have to endure though!😂

Loving it, putting washing on the line knowing it is going to dry, having all the doors and windows open with fresh air circulating the whole house, that cool breeze at night in bed, sitting out watching the hedgehogs until late, just seeing the garden all sunny brightens my mood.

OK, so I'm usually one of 'those' people who post on the other threads about hating the heat. But I'm going to try to get into the spirit of this thread...

I usually stay home to avoid the heat, but I get very bored. So today I was brave and went out for a potter and a coffee with the little one. We weaved in and out of the sun and shade, listened to a talented musician playing the accordion on the street, and it all felt pretty nice actually. Even better, I coped fine and now don't feel so anxious about it all. I must admit, it's, mainly psychological with me. I used to live in Scotland and now am much more Southern, and I just assume I won't cope!

So enjoy it everyone, and I'll try to empathise now, instead of glaring at you...

Good for you! That resonates with me because I'm the same about winter, especially snow, to the point where when I hear its forecast I start to feel very anxious, and look for ways to avoid going out. You have inspired me to have a little walk out in it next time, and who knows?

I'm a bit of a precious pet with the weather - it's never just right, is it?!

But like @Somethingsnappy I'm working hard to count my blessings, and enjoy it while we've got it.

So - loving the washing coming in crisp and sunwarmed off the line, barely have to wave the iron in its direction!
Love the sun baked sheets on the bed.
Love that the cat can't be buggered going outdoors let alone over the fence.
Love the cool damp sweetness of the summer evening air.
Loving watching the young ones enjoy themselves in a perfectly normal way on the common.
Loving getting a tan - possibly I won't get mocked so much by the family back home when we face-time, lol.
Loving having loads of barbies (sorry neighbours, although to be fair, it's like a mexican wave of bbqs down our street, I can now discern who is out bbqing by smell)
Loving having loads of salad, baby new potatoes, water melon and cherries.
Loving having my girls home - although it's more usually singular than plural these days.
Loving that the older one is (not hashtag) living her best life, travelling with her boyfriend and her mates, having a normal life.
Mint Cornettos.

Do it! 🤗It really cheered me up today. I faced my demons and it really wasn't awful.
