To still be hoping Johnson doesn't resign

AIBU to still live in hope that Johnson will not resign. He has masterminded Brexit and the success for the UK that goes along with it, invented a vaccine and most importantly of all knows what a woman is.

If I had my way he would be Big Dog for life.

Agree its a shame, he got Brexit done, when europe was running rings around May and mocking her. He got us through covid with the best response in the old europe. He is bit of a buffoon, but bright and generally you see what you get. I would not trust any of the new new contenders, especially Sunak and his nom dom tax avoiding wife.

How has he got Brexit done? He's trying to undo that deal that he said was "oven ready", to say nothing of breaking international treaties to do so. Our industries have been decimated and we have the slowest growing economy of the G7. That £350 million a week for the NHS has vanished into thin air.

We certainly didn't and still don't have the best response to covid. We have had more deaths than any country in the "old Europe"; and when you look at the stats in terms of cases and deaths per million, there we are near the top of the old Europe list. Currently we are lagging far behind other countries with the fourth vaccination booster despite the fact at infections are soaring.

As for "What you see is what you get" ... what you hear is certainly not what you get, because what you hear from him is lie after lie after lie. Do you really think it was OK for him to appoint a known sex predator to a job where he had power and influence over younger MPs and officials?

"I Understand your perspectives, but is it not better to be a shark, with other sharks ? Takes one to understand one so to speak."

Yeah I get it but I'm tired of it. I just want someone normal and boring who genuinely has this country at heart.

Don't think it's going to happen though 😞

Fuck off Boris

TiddyTidTwo · 10/07/2022 00:10

It's is @Hawkins001

Oh well, least we have each other! Us mere mortals will scrape through, we always have.

That's very true, while those in power , scheme for the iron throne, we keep the cogs turning.

As ever!! @Hawkins001

You raise a valid argument.

However, Jeremy Cun.....<cough> excuse me, Jeremy Hunt has thrown his hat into the ring. If you want to talk sexy, Hunt's the man for the job.

GreenLunchBox · 10/07/2022 02:21

It's cool to have him in power still because it's entertaining that every day there's a new scandal. The sex scandal that emerged today (Saturday) makes me think there will be more #MeToo revelations coming out this week

CBA. This one has annoyed me enough. Or is it all 'ironic'?

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie have you eaten your fedora yet?

Are you Paddy Ashdown?

We all know that people called Jeremy would be an absolute disaster as PM.

Although to be fair this one was hugely successful as Health and Care secretary in running down the NHS and social care provision, so I suppose he has potential.

Oh that's just more sledging by the left wing media and their communist owners.

Personally I'm backing Zahawi. What better start to his career as chancellor than being investigated by the HMRC? Good to see him continuing the current government tradition of being ever so slightly dodgy.

itsgettingweird · 10/07/2022 07:23

Although In general when people say, i never understand why because he is rich, does not mean he cannot understand what it's like to be poor ?

It he can't. Someone who wears sliders costing £100's of pounds won't understand what it's like trying to feed a family for a month on less than that. They may empathise but they don't understand.

The same way none of us can comprehend what it's like for him where he probably doesn't even know what's in his current account day to day because there's always access to money should he need it.

I don't understand why people try and say they can understand someone's else's experience. You can't. You can listen - you can try and learn and understand. But you cannot understand an experience unless you've lived it.

I think you are mistaken. Rishi has priced many out of car ownership and so like him they do not know how to use a petrol pump.

Although I would imagine he has an electric car? He should do with his ability to buy a climate appropriate one

Quia · 10/07/2022 12:50

Cummings seems to have quite a bit of dirt on most of the candidates. The Mail assures us that there is no foundation to any of it, but then that's what they kept telling us about the stories about Boris.

WhileMyGuitarGentlyWeeps · 10/07/2022 12:53

Aww me too. He's a fluffy old loveable buffoon. 😘
