right on tuesday my ebay account was hacked, luckily ebay realised before any problemw as caused and froze my account and changed my password, the prob is i was selling an item for my mum and dad and i just noticed tonight that this item has sold and there was a message from the buyer asking for address details etc as i had listed this item for pick up only, i gave the address and phone number, and only then did i have enough nouse to check out my buyer, well it seems that this buyer has joined TODAY now yes i could be being completly irrational and paranoid, (im good at that) but do u think this is at all strange?

If they are paying cash and picking it up you know you will get the cash from them - I would only accept cash on collection in this case.
Did the item get the sort of bids you were expecting - I mean are they buying it for the right sort of price?

wait for 24 hours for a phone call and if none comes, explore the proper channels of reporting them.

We all had to start somewhere with e-bay and it is highly likely that they joined in time to bid on what they wanted but they must play ball too and if they don't, they need dealing with (as per the guidelines).

yeah the item i was selling got just the one bid but was what iw anted for it, i suppose im just overly paranoid and am thinking that this hacker is stalking me ( they never should of let me leave my councelling LOL) no to be fair im just panicking coz i have given this person my parents address (god i sound ridiculous )

I wouldn't worry (although I know how easy it is to worry too much!) - give them a chance to make contact. I think a lot of Ebay accounts get hacked (thankfully mine never has) and the two things could be unrelated.
