I have just seen this article where Heather Mills claims that we should go the toilet after every meal that we have and not just once a day. Was just a bit in interesting to think about really. The article is linked below.

Intrigued how you came across the 4 year old article, OP?
We're you searching articles on poo, articles on Heather Mills or those containing Poo and Heather Mills?

Water makes up about 75 percent of your stool. The rest is an often-stinky combination of fiber, dead and live bacteria, other cells, and mucus. Soluble fiber found in foods like beans and nuts is broken down during digestion and forms a gel-like substance that becomes part of your poop.

this was what I got when I looked it up

What with reading this, and Gamerchick's description on another thread of mites having sex on my face at night and then exploding because of trapped poo (the mites, not me), I feel that sweet dreams are not necessarily mine tonight.

OldFan · 03/07/2022 00:17

I go relatively frequently compared to some people, but everyone's different and if someone needs to go less it doesn't necessarily mean anything's wrong with them. I try and hit 30g of fibre a day.

Recently I developed a bad habit where I was kind of forcing myself to wee. I don't think there's anything wrong with me physically (hope not anyway.) It's led to me having a bit of a phobia about needing the loo for any reason in the middle of a car journey etc. I'm trying to stop forcing myself.

I wouldn't suggest anyone strain to do anything particularly.

I song dead anything by her. I'll go to the toilet when I need to thanks

Yodaisawally · 03/07/2022 00:19

Fucks sake, won't read...

Bestshapeever · 03/07/2022 00:23

Where's Heather gone? 😅

honeylulu · 03/07/2022 00:34

Well I always thought Heather Mills was full of shit. No wonder she needs to go so often.

LikeAStar1994 · 03/07/2022 00:52

Yeah... I'll go when my body tells me to thanks.

Haveatakeaway · 03/07/2022 00:53

You can't go on demand. Hi Heather, we still remember you so dont worry Biscuit

Goldencarp · 03/07/2022 00:58

I don’t even go every day let alone after every meal 😂

Phrenologistsfinger · 03/07/2022 01:00

Yep, normal, I go about an hour after every meal. So does DP.

doyouwantachuffedybadge · 03/07/2022 01:01

If you're vegan and not eating stuff that you shouldn't be e.g animals, and their secretions then yes after every meal is normal. Not immediately but a while after. Three times a day is normal.

doyouwantachuffedybadge · 03/07/2022 01:02

And what's wrong with Heather Mils - apart from what the media are telling you?

EmeraldShamrock1 · 03/07/2022 01:08

Who'd have the time.
I watched a female comedian describing how her DH summons his poo sitting for a half an hour waiting for his poo to arrive usually during busiest time in the mornings.

Whereas the poo summons the woman it comes on when it is ready in the worst moments.

Point being - woman don’t have a half an hour waiting for her daily poo never mind after every meal. 🙄

TimeFlysWhenYoureHavingRum · 03/07/2022 01:16

Hmm. I've not heard anything about Heather Mills for about a decade. What a coincidence that she should pop up again the week after Macca played Glasto...

Haveatakeaway · 03/07/2022 01:17

@doyouwantachuffedybadge are you a vegan/veggie? I love vegetarian meals etc but I do eat meat. I'm regular when going to the bathroom.

by secretions, do you mean milk etc? I'm not being goady

Haveatakeaway · 03/07/2022 01:20

Btw Heather mills bashing is for another thread I guess. I don't know her, but I don't think it's unusual to not go to the bathroom after every meal...

Carrotmum · 03/07/2022 01:38

I go more often than most people and get triggered to go to the toilet when I eat but that’s because I have IBS and have on occasions been very unwell. So Heather may approve but it doesn’t mean I’m healthy.

Haveatakeaway · 03/07/2022 02:23

@Carrotmum I did want to mention people with conditions like yours, but op didn't mention it so I didn't want to be a dick and mention some people have medical issues/ conditions

ivykaty44 · 03/07/2022 05:42

@FarmGirl78

do you really think all that food is sitting there fermenting and none of it’s been digested?

queenmeadhbh · 03/07/2022 09:02

ivykaty44 · 02/07/2022 22:25

All that food sitting there is fermenting and poisoning our system.”

we don't shit out food we've eaten though? its dead cells surely?

Have you never looked in the toilet bowl and seen sweetcorn?

Sparklingbrook · 03/07/2022 09:47

Sweetcorn is the exception here.

HerTableLaid · 03/07/2022 10:04

In fairness, I heard a snippet of a news item on the radio last week where a medic was talking about the sharp rise in bowel (inc rectal and colon) cancers among younger people, and, as part of a discussion about the environmental factors which could be contributing to a sudden generational rise (obesity, a diet of more processed foods etc), she also suggested that another possible contributing factor involved children and young adults not going to the loo when they wanted to because they were absorbed in something like gaming, and that ‘holding on’ for longer periods meant increased contact between stuff your body wants to get rid of and bowel walls.

Momicrone · 03/07/2022 10:12

The point she is making is about changing ones diet, not forcing oneself to poo! I'm not a vegan but find it interesting, not sure why she's so hated mind.

knittingaddict · 03/07/2022 10:16

LoudingVoice · 02/07/2022 22:13

Surely grown adults just go to the toilet just when they need to?

Exactly. Also everyone's natural digestion is different. Your body does what it does.
