Ghislaine Maxwell sentencing

Anyone else following?

Of course Ghislaine Maxwell has got a long sentence because of what she did.
However, do you really think that a sentence should be increased if the defendant is ‘posh’?

Sentence should have been ten times longer and the fine a hundred times larger. But it's a lot more than she'd have gotten in the UK. Here she probably would never have seen the inside of a prison cell.

Life expectancy drops dramatically when in prison at that age. Never mind the possibility of suicide or being bumped off. She loses access to all but the most basic health care. Diet quality drops, less exercise, more stress

I wonder if her statement to the victims about having peace was a veiled confirmation that the men who abused the girls don't need to worry about being outed by her.

Presumably that is why she didn't give any evidence in her defence.

Anyone know what happened to the suggestion that she'd ask to do her jail time in the UK?

Presumably the appeal has to come first though?

It's really frustrating that there have been no prosecutions of the men involved who surely did not think there was just a steady stream of very young women desperate to have sex with them.

@OneFrenchEgg i agree. Ghislaine deserves her sentence for the part she played but it’s utterly disgusting that the only person to end up in prison over this is a woman - why isn’t anything being done about the fact that ALL of the men involved are still unnamed, free and unaccountable.

I have wondered why no other men seem to have been sued except PA, not that weve heard about , perhaps none of them have any money

They were all extremely affluent so doubtful.

I wonder if there is no photographic evidence? And GM holds any records that would have been helpful in a case.
I'm pretty stunned that there are these men who have raped women carrying in with their lives with no consequences. Although that's pretty everyday so maybe im a fool.

I remember there was a book full of records of all Epstein’s contacts - allegedly some very high profile people - I think this book has been used as evidence so I wonder why no one has investigated the names in the book - why only Prince Andrew?
