Posting for traffic, sorry.

Can anyone tell what the word before "Northern Ireland" says on this birth certificate?

I've included a shot of other words to make it easier.

Additionally, does anyone know how to find out your mother's maiden name if you do not know what it is?

It's 12th November - but you've probably got that bit!

Disyleaka is what the next bit looks like.
Or maybe a P at the start?

bakesk · 02/07/2022 16:30

It'll be a townland.. Derry... something maybe

NeverDropYourMooncup · 02/07/2022 16:31

Mispelled Donnybrook?

(Dublin)

bakesk · 02/07/2022 16:33

Maybe derryhirk

JellyBellyNelly · 02/07/2022 16:33

Newry

NeverDropYourMooncup · 02/07/2022 16:39

Or Derrybrook, Cork?

NeverDropYourMooncup · 02/07/2022 16:42

Or an attempt at spelling Derrybrughas, County Antrim?

JellyBellyNelly · 02/07/2022 16:42

I think it’s Derryhicks because if you look in the 4th column there is a clearer written version of what appears to be the same word.

SupremeDreamz · 02/07/2022 16:55

@JellyBellyNelly Thank you! Hadn't spotted that.

Derryhirk, a town land in Co Armagh.

Yewtown · 02/07/2022 17:56

I've checked the Irish census and there is a Mccaffrey family listed in Derryleckagh which can also be spelt Derrylecka
