The show 'Escorts' on Netflix is eye opening

Francais223 · 21/06/2022 21:52

£500 for an hour
£500 for one of the escorts to go to a pub lunch with a client, no intercourse involved.
2 young women in their 20s, who can make 6 grand a week.
I would never do it, but when you work full time hours and they make in 1 week what I make in 3 months. Or what some people would make in 6.
Still, they claim to love it on the show but who knows what it's really like. They may get taken advantage of a lot.

Has anybody watched the show? Or know anybody that's done this?

I never said he was fabulously wealthy. I said he has a nice home and a healthy pension pot.
As he says, why would he want to fuck a dried up old prune, as as he refers to his clients as.

I could be wrong but it sounds like you are a girlfriend and he has spun you the story of 'why would gorgeous me sleep with those old fogeys' as a reason why, upon questioning, he is not sleeping with his clients. Your protestations that he is as "far from gay as you can get" make me think the same. If so I hope you listen to the comments on here from people who have been in the industry and get an sti check

@Sunnierdays it's the same as a one night stand, only I got paid 😉

Sunnierdays · 23/06/2022 12:42

@thelastshadowpuppet no it’s not , you got rented out by someone !! Gross

Jobconfused · 23/06/2022 12:42

I never believe a sex worker saying that she’s happy and loving it - she HAS to say that otherwise no one would hire her. It’s a marketing strategy. The man wants to think that she actually enjoys sucking off his dirty old cock.

@Maireas I got married when I was 24. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have absolutely no problem being paid for sex.

Agency charged 130 per hour or 65 for half an hour.

We never went out, we just had sex.

You'd get a call from the agency, turn up ask them what they wanted take the money, have sex and leave.

Not trying to make it sound glamorous!

Nobody thought you were. It sounds perfectly foul.

I had a friend at University that did this, and whenever she met a new ‘client’ she’d ask her friends to hang out in a bar next to whichever hotel she was at and gave regular phone updates with instructions to go check on her and phone the police if she didn’t respond by such a time. Nothing bad ever happened though.

She charged £150ph and the men would pay for fancy hotel rooms. She had several regular clients (all married with young kids) who would just take her out for meals or spa days a lot of the time, and one man in particular who would offer her a grand
to spend the whole weekend with him whilst he paid for all their activities like theme park tickets and meals out too. She was also taken on holiday a couple of times a year by different men.

I’ll admit that I was really jealous and honestly thought about trying it at times, but I was in a long term relationship and I couldn’t get over the ick of older men wanting to take advantage of young girls with issues🤮

My friend was adamant that she enjoyed it because it helped her escape for a few hours (she was very troubled emotionally) and it made her feel powerful and valued, but she ended up getting hooked on drugs and spiralled out of control, dropped out of University by the end of the second year and pretty much just self destructed until she got out of it several years later (at least she says so).

If "nothing bad ever happened", why do you think she self-destructed so badly?

Why did she need to self-medicate with drugs to the point of addiction?

I think the reality will have been far worse than she let her friends see at the time.

There's something quite disingenuous with the naysayers lumping together addicts, sex abuse victims, women who're forced by pimps together with women who 'are desperate to feed their kids'.

How is it disingenuous?

I can’t think of a single other means of earning a living that has such a high (disproportionate) number of those groups of people. That is, addicts, sex abuse victims, women forced by pimps.

Can you?

Probably all high risk easy money 'jobs' have many damaged people working in it, eg drugs trade.

My point was that simply being desperate for money pretty much describes all of us to some degree, as the need for money is why we all work. To use that as an argument against prostitution doesn't work. Every single minimum wage worker is doing their job because they are desperate for the money.

Maireas · 23/06/2022 16:56

I agree, @OctOctomore . It sounds like that young woman had very serious problems indeed. She was very obviously not having a fantastic, glamorous life.

@ChangedMyNamrButStillMe he doesn't work for an agency, he's self employed with his own website etc.
Certainly not gay, he's as far from gay as you can get. He doesn't escort men, just women.

He doesn't have to be gay. He's just selling himself for money, it's not about how you swing.

thelastshadowpuppet · 23/06/2022 17:03

@Sunnierdays I have absolutely no problem with that whatsoever.

@TullyApplebottom foul, in your opinion. I didn't think it was foul at all.

Not everyone that does this sort of thing is an emotionally damaged drug addict.

I've lived a good life.

Why did you think it was good? What were the positives?

thelastshadowpuppet · 23/06/2022 19:18

@Maireas the money, that's it.
I thought the men were pathetic to be honest! Apart from one of them.

Right. So you felt that the job was good and the pay worth it? Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, I'm genuinely interested in your story.

Clymene · 23/06/2022 19:48

It's not the same as a one night stand at all. You can say no to a one night stand. You can decide not to have one at all if the bloke is leery or smelly or any other million reasons why you might not want to have sex with him.

As a prostitute, you have to fuck him. Even if his teeth are rotting, he hasn't washed in a week and his cock stinks. Because he's bought your body for a period of time. And it's not just your body. Men on punters complain if women don't look like they enjoy it.

So smile and look like you're having fun while some sweaty hog rams away at you.

thelastshadowpuppet · 23/06/2022 20:52

@Clymene we didn't have to fuck anyone. If you didn't want to you didn't have to at all. The lady that ran the agency did it for years herself so didn't expect us to take any shit.

My first job was a man that had smelly feet and I left.

The first one I actually shagged was a 49 year old man, I was 22. He didn't last long, I made my 100 pounds. Most were hotel jobs. We also had a driver, he would knock at the door shortly after we went in to check if we were happy.

@Maireas well I wouldn't say it was a good job but I never had a bad experience. The men were just normal average men. One of them was quite good looking, he had lost his girlfriend about 8 months before.

They weren't perverts or weirdos.

Ask as many questions as you like, I'm happy to answer them. You're welcome to pm me.

Waitinginvain2121 · 23/06/2022 21:05

Surprising what some women would do for money ! Also surprisingly a man would want a relationship with a woman whose done this !

I’m sure you think you have, but your suggestion that we might think what you were describing is “glamorous” does suggest your perceptions of what is good or desirable might have drifted quite far from most other peoples’.

gfwantsmoney · 25/06/2022 20:38

The women in the show will be lucky to get 100 per hour. They are overweight and rough. Women that charge 300 pounds per hour can pass as models.

Airfriedpotatowitch · 26/06/2022 00:37

To people who say no man will pay 500 to have dinner only with a lady why do you think that 500 is absolutely nothing to alot of men if they can't get a date why would they not pay for company. Men pay more than this to have hostesses in nightclubs sit at their table with them. Not saying that's all they might want but don't be naieve because you cannot imagine anyone paying that much just for company. Men pay far more and actually probably a fair few like the power n control of it and feeling like they are looking after someone. I have a relative that is a control freak and will help people out buy extravagant gifts etc just to feel a bit needed and have a bit of control.

antelopevalley · 27/06/2022 10:41

Rich men can get a beautiful woman to go out on a date without paying. If they are paying, it is for something more.

Airfriedpotatowitch · 27/06/2022 21:07

Nope not true not all richmen are confident enough to ask women on a date, may not have the time, can't be arsed with it and would rather pay someone they know will look good and play the part. Look at ghislaine wotzerface catered to richmen.

Octomore · 27/06/2022 21:22

Yes, but what they were after was a bit... specific, wasn't it? If you want a trafficked underage girl, it's probably easier to outsource the trafficking to a professional than do it yourself.

It has bugger all to do with their level of confidence. In fact, the fact that they thought their wealth would always protect them from the law indicates quite a high level of confidence.

Octomore · 27/06/2022 21:27

Also - those men were not paying for just a date! They were paying to be able to rape trafficked underage girls. Girls who were trapped and who couldn't say no to any of their requests.

There is no way those men would have paid hundreds of pounds for a pub lunch with female company.
