George Harrison so he could make wild love to me.

Sadly for you he would be with me !!

VickyEadieofThigh · 15/06/2022 15:24

Victoria Wood. I feel she still had so much to give us. I admired her hugely and feel her loss to this day.

tobee · 15/06/2022 15:28

I think there are too many "good people" to choose from.

Evil people like Savile and Hitler to pay for their crimes?

Speedweed · 15/06/2022 15:43

Marilyn Monroe

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 15/06/2022 15:51

Bix Beiderbecke -- such a stupid premature death, and I think he'd really have enjoyed the musical possibilities that came after he'd died.

But actually I'd rather have a time machine to go to 1931 and haul him out of the mess he was in and get him to a hospital in say 1994 for the treatment he needed, then put him back without the pneumonia and with enough booze delivered every week for him to be able to give the wood-alcohol a miss.

Robert Holdstock, just because he was a great bloke and e.Coli is such a dire way to die too young.

There are quite a few I'd like to bring back but only if they wouldn't hurt if I did: Rosemary Sutcliff, for instance. And Diana Wynne Jones with the same proviso -- and then just to be there while those two talked together, because I think it would be an absolutely wonderful conversation.

Actually if we're doing evil people, Epstein. So we can find out what that fucker knew.

Innocenta · 15/06/2022 16:17

Freddie. Of course. He deserves to see how loved he still is, and to see how much gay acceptance has moved forward - gay marriage, gay romance on mainstream TV. Gay couples allowed to adopt children. I wish he could watch all the lovely out gay people in modern TV shows. I'm always seeing them and thinking, 'ah, wish Freddie could see this'.

It would have to be Freddie and his partner Jim, though. He was a troubled, very vulnerable guy and coming back to life now (to find his parents and 'husband' were all dead) would be rough for him.

thecatsinthecradle · 15/06/2022 16:18

Freddie Mercury ❤️

And, if we're counting non-celebrities:

I was going to say Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. Who knows what they could achieve if they worked together.

PollyDarton1 · 15/06/2022 16:31

Somewhere between:
Alan Turing
Carrie Fisher
Freddie Mercury
Amy Winehouse, so long as she didn't suffer

JM10 · 15/06/2022 17:07

My first thought was Taylor Hawkins. Maybe Freddie Mercury or Kurt Cobain.

Maggie, in her prime, to kick out the bellend we have in charge. I realise this will not be a popular choice and whilst I don’t agree with everything she did, I fully believe she had integrity, which is sorely lacking in politics at the moment.

Hear! Hear!

Also agree re Amy Whitehouse but mentally stronger, healthier and with a positive future ahead of her. What a waste of a life.

Also Duke of Edinburgh. The Queen must miss her "strength and stay" so much. 🌹

Innocenta · 15/06/2022 17:09

Would you really bring back someone who lived to be 99, @Newestname002 ? I know it's all hypothetical, but that one took me aback!

Valentine259 · 15/06/2022 17:35

Michael Hutchence and Rik Mayall
