SenecaFallsRedux · 15/06/2022 14:09

Robin Williams
Betty White (so she could get to the 100 milestone)
Alan Rickman
Helen McCrory

Starlight86 · 15/06/2022 14:09

Jimmy Savile, so he could pay for what he done.

KyaClark · 15/06/2022 14:10

Heath Ledger.

I'm still not over it.

LakieLady · 15/06/2022 14:11

Puppylucky · 15/06/2022 13:47

Bowie

Me too. So much great music.

Starlight86 · 15/06/2022 14:09

Jimmy Savile, so he could pay for what he done.

And him.

So he knew that he's fucking hated now.

Original88 · 15/06/2022 14:12

Patrick Swayze

hangrylady · 15/06/2022 14:12

Jimmy Saville so he could be punished. Got away scott free.

SirChenjins · 15/06/2022 14:13

Terry Wogan
Freddie Mercury
Loads more but those are the 2 that spring to mind

balalake · 15/06/2022 14:13

On the grounds of the age and how much longer she could have lived, Amy Winehouse.

FooFighter99 · 15/06/2022 14:14

MeMe3Spoons · 15/06/2022 13:57

My first thought was Freddie Mercury but I am going to say Taylor Hawkins. For his amazing talent and for his young family but also for Dave Grohl; absolutely gutting that he is going through this for a second time 😢

Definitely

I do hope Dave is ok, it must be heartbreaking for him and the band (and obviously Taylor's wife and kids)

Accidental overdoses are, to me, the saddest deaths because the person didn't mean to end their life and if given the chance would probably not do it the second time around 😢

If anyone knows Dave, please give him a hug from me

RusholmeRuffian · 15/06/2022 14:14

Terry Pratchett or Joe Strummer

EinsteinaGogo · 15/06/2022 14:14

Karen Carpenter

DoubleShotEspresso · 15/06/2022 14:15

Anthony Bourdain

Crankley · 15/06/2022 14:15

Freddie Mercury - best ever
Alan Rickman - was my crush

HappydaysArehere · 15/06/2022 14:16

Danny Kaye. I was really upset when he died.

StarTwins · 15/06/2022 14:17

John Keats, if he counts. Died aged 25. I would love for him to know how well regarded his poetry is, given the poor reviews he got, write some more, and get to marry Fanny Brawne. And get a TB jab.

Otherwise, John Lennon.

Spagnolia · 15/06/2022 14:18

George Michael
Victoria Wood
Alan Rickman

Iloveyogurt · 15/06/2022 14:18

Alan Rickman for sure

GoodLuckChuck · 15/06/2022 14:20

Starlight86 · 15/06/2022 14:09

Jimmy Savile, so he could pay for what he done.

I came to say this. Utterly heartbreaking he got away with everything he did

The first person I thought of was Victoria Wood, she was such a talent and always seemed so normal and decent. She died too young, I'd bring her back so she could live on enjoying her life and entertaining us.

Selfishly for me, Richard Briers, just because I adored him.

But if I had to choose one, it would be Alan Turing. So he'd know that his genius - in the truest sense of the word - was recognised, and we could pay tribute to the man that arguably saved the world from tyranny in 1941.

clary · 15/06/2022 14:24

I think people like Jane Austen thanks @Deadringer and Keats definitely count as celebrities. Good shout on Mozart @SleepyMc as well - how much more would those three have given the word. Jane was the oldest and she was only 47 IIRC. Imagine if Mozart would have written another 20 symphonies, or five more novels from Austen.

Tinkletwat · 15/06/2022 14:24

Does Mo Mowlam count?

torfa · 15/06/2022 14:28

Chris Cornell
Chadwick Boseman
Layne Staley
Adam Yauch
Alan Rickman
Caroline Aherne
