I also went to school with a specific school bus. Public transport exists where I live, but would take many hours to get from my village to my school. Local authorities HAVE to provide transport in these cases although my LEA now refuses to take children to my old school and takes them to one a slightly bigger distance away in the same county.
We did NOT get dropped off outside the house though. There was a bus stop in the village. The journey was already 40 minutes, I can't imagine what it would be if the bus stopped at every single house!

Robin Williams character in Mrs Doubtfire was a controlling Disney dad prick of the highest order. He can't face his ex wife moving on, after she left him because he was an absolutely useless husband, so he tricks his way into her home so he can sabotage her relationship and control the family.

I don't remember the Friends characters eating all that unhealthily, except for Joey. The actresses were known for surviving on small salads of course.
Sara Lund's character in The Killing ALWAYS eat unhealthily - things like microwaved pizza - and stayed slim, possibly down to small portions.
