To be concerned that the Depp/Heard trial has put off genuine DV victims from coming forward?

The Depp/Heard trial was troubling to me.

On the one hand, people do sometimes make false allegations, especially after relationship breakups.

On the other hand, dragging someone to court for alleging domestic violence might deter some women from reporting it.

Assuming the court got it right and Depp was not a perpetrator, how could he have handled the situation so that it would not put domestic violence victims off coming forward for fear of being sued?

Worrying all round.

That doesn't make it more accurate. Shouting louder isn't an indication of anything useful IMO.

We're not talking about whether they're right in that context but whether more people believe one side or the other.

Again, those who shout the loudest don't necessarily represent the majority.

True, but of those who took an interest in the case the vast majority are clearly not on her side and if internet statistics are to be believed that is definitely the case. It's fairly obvious that a sizeable portion of the public believe they were as bad as each other but more people believe she is mainly or wholly at fault. The minority position is that she was genuinely and seriously abused by him.

Heard’s release of her therapist notes shows once again she can not keep her stories straight. Her therapist notes says Amber told her the first time Depp was violent was in January 2012. Yet in her witness statement for the U.K. trial she says the first time Depp was violent was 2013. Once again she is not credible.

Shit! What an afternoon I've had.

I've come on here for some respite and distraction.

"Well. Bored now. Bye"
Erm, excuse me? @AdamRyan nope you're my no.1 opponent 😬 you can't leave!

TiddyTidTwo · 17/06/2022 18:07

@Friars23

That's why I'm smelling a set up by the news network...

I do think AH is a liar but what infuriates me more is the enablers to an obviously sick woman that needs help and monetising it.

TiddyTidTwo · 17/06/2022 19:13

I'm still verifying this, as far as I can, but this can't be true. Can it?

Ok it's the Fail.

I'm the rabbit hole digger. Might change my username....

It's Tiddy. In case anyone this I'm a one post wonder!

Rabbitholedigger · 17/06/2022 19:36

This is why you need to dig down. I love doing it as it feeds my weird brain. I cannot take anything at face value. I don't post on here because I saw a tik tok or read an MSM article and I won't fall for shit like this either btw I've seen similar from his side

I doubt he will even read it or watch her interview. Therapists notes are heresay. Is her therapist also a doctor or is that just another lie. She said she wants JD to leave her alone which I am sure he is more than happy to do.

Rabbitholedigger · 17/06/2022 19:50

I agree. His lawyers have released this.

They should just ignore it and not give her any more thought. She will just try and twist anything they say and make herself look bitter, obsessed and vindictive.

Isaidnoalready · 18/06/2022 04:52

She said in her interview that she still loves him I believe she actually thinks she does love him

Rabbitholedigger · 18/06/2022 10:07

The full interview, not much added other than

  1. She had a barricaded separate entrance to the courtroom due to the crowds and death threats (untrue we all saw her and JD came into the same entrance daily)
  2. A text to her father proving jD kicked her
  3. The therapist notes shown as a clip
  4. None of his exes have come forward (Kate Moss on the stand, Paradis written statement?)

I think that's all.

BlanketsBanned · 18/06/2022 10:33

She also left via the front door on the last day of the trial after fhe verdict

buttersbottom · 18/06/2022 13:16

Let's remember that she only wants to move on and put this all behind her and she doesn't care what people think of her.

Rabbitholedigger · 18/06/2022 15:58

I mean, I have my opinion of her but again I was open mouthed when she said about the special entrance for her. That's clearly a lie, and we all know it.

She should never have been given a huge platform like that to continue to defame and add further stories that were not admissible to the case. For example, in court the abuse allegedly started March 2013, now it's 2011. Just gets less credible every time she speaks.

bramblebot · 18/06/2022 16:20

Of course AH is not going to stop.

She needs the narcissistic supply of attention. She is never going to stop hounding JD.

She is a dangerous liar and abusive bully with cluster B personality disorder traits.
I've dealt with women like this.

JamieNorthlife · 18/06/2022 16:26

Thanks for sharing the other lawyer videos. I'm now watching this one

it's a different lawyer, he breaks down things and is also giving a good perspective of the interview.

I'm not a PR person, but I still think this interview was not a good idea. Very a bad move.

bramblebot · 18/06/2022 16:32

Isaidnoalready · 18/06/2022 04:52

She said in her interview that she still loves him I believe she actually thinks she does love him

That's pretty typical for a narcissist bully

Workwork21 · 18/06/2022 16:55

I hate the harm she is doing to victims at the moment. She very clearly does not want to focus on moving on. It's abhorrent.

BlanketsBanned · 18/06/2022 17:07

Maybe the media should just stop reporting about her and refuse any more requests to do interviews with her or her team, they are also guilty of keeping this nonsense alive. The interview seemed pretty pointless anyway, it just makes her look foolish and thats unkind. The barriers on the pavements were there for safety, they were there when both of them arrived, JD had his own security staff with him and there was law enforcement everywhere, its all clear for everyone to see.

JamieNorthlife · 18/06/2022 17:14

I agree, that the media needs to stop reporting or at least reduce how much they are reporting about them.

But I think they are going to keep going to make sure they milk it for as long as they make profits out of this case.

For the media, it's just about how much £££ they will take out of reporting the case.

Isaidnoalready · 18/06/2022 17:44

Itsnot like I don't have sympathy for her she seems to have a genuine mental health issue but I feel money is being made off it now and that is wrong
