At what age do your looks fade?

I am coming up to 30 and really worried about this

OP posts:
Zoooooom · 08/06/2022 22:07

Look at Jennifer Aniston and Kylie, both in their 50s, yes look a bit older than previously but not any less attractive, still considered very attractive by most men I Imagine

Merryclaire · 08/06/2022 22:08

You just gradually change over time, but most people also start to care about it less and become less looks focused. That’s the best way to be. Occasionally you will mourn the loss of your youthful vitality but generally you just accept it and get on with life. What’s the alternative really?

SurfBox · 08/06/2022 22:09

George Clooney is 61, I’d not describe him as “faded.

yea but the difference between him and the rest of us is millions of pounds. Money makes a big difference in how we look if we use it for that purpose.

And again with the celebrity contrast-most of us don't have the resources or money they have.

I work with the elderly and I look after a 98 year old lady who still takes pride in choosing her outfits, wears nice headbands and jewellery, lipstick and gets her nails done.
She's still got a beautiful face and lovely eyes.

Zoooooom · 08/06/2022 22:11

You don't need megabucks to look good for your age. We can't assume that every celebrity has had extensive work either

Mamai90 · 08/06/2022 22:11

I agree that looks don't fade, they change. My mum and auntie still look beautiful in their 70s.

Nanalisa60 · 08/06/2022 22:12

It depends on your lifestyle (smoking, drinking, fat and sugar intake) also it’s in your genes. A good skincare routine and staying out of the sun. I’m 61 now and still scrub up well, obviously my best days have long since gone, but for my age I’m still ok.

Katya213 · 08/06/2022 22:14

mine went around 38/39.

Stylishkidintheriot · 08/06/2022 22:14

I’ve always been ugly. But Covid had not helped. DH and I have aged 10years since March 20

DuesToTheDirt · 08/06/2022 22:16

Cindy Crawford at 55 is absolutely beautiful still. She looks older, but she's still beautiful in a different way.

Well she had a head start on most of us! Grin

krill · 08/06/2022 22:19

Some think 25 when you start to 'lose your bloom' Though we were early 20s when we decided on that, my group of friends and I.

In terms of signs of ageing, wrinkles and/or sag that can start early 30s if you're 'unlucky' ( other factors may have contributed), but mid late 30s is when the crows feet and forehead wrinkles may appear. This is borne out by the number of posts, over the years, on style and beauty when they want advice on which fillers, botox, and anti ageing products to use. Poster just today was 32, previous filler and botox user with lines.

@ArseInTheCoOpWindow Go girl!

I was pretty happy until 47+ definitely looking older now (50+) probably due to being menopausal!

autienotnaughty · 08/06/2022 22:19

About 35 for me.

Afterfire · 08/06/2022 22:20

You’re 30. You don’t have to worry about this.

I think anyone of any age can be beautiful and attractive. A lot is down to hair, clothes and make up and looking like you like yourself.

Has he had work done? I’d just assumed he was ageing well.

Imissprosecco · 08/06/2022 22:21

I've never been good looking so there's not much to fade in my case (not being modest, I'm genuinely quite ugly). The plus side Is I don't need to worry much about it, although I'll admit that I'm mid 30s and been battling greys for quite a few years now

sarahc336 · 08/06/2022 22:21

2nd child at 36 finished me off 😂

FindingMeno · 08/06/2022 22:22

When you're 50 your 20 year old look has gone and is replaced with something different which I rather like.

Zoooooom · 08/06/2022 22:22

I know it's not necessarily about the face but Davina McCall at 56 has an incredible body that 20 year olds would want, she's also been through /going through the menopause.

TwittleBee · 08/06/2022 22:22

28 here and I feel as though they're fading fast.

UrsulaPandress · 08/06/2022 22:25

What exactly are you worried about?

I’m sure you are not ugly.

I’m 46 and I’m happier with how I look than I was in my 20’s and 30’s.

I feel the same and feel really sad reading some of the responses on here!

I'm 51 and look great!

doyouwantachuffedybadge · 08/06/2022 22:26

Define, "looks".
