To HATE going to the hairdressers

Due to go this afternoon, feel like cancelling
Like the feeling after hair is done, but hate the process, mainly sitting in the chair and looking at my fat head in the mirror 🙈I just will them to get on with it, feel so self conscious!

Anyone else a weirdo like me?

I don't like it but the alternative is worse.

This is why I go.

It's the mirrors. Not sure why I look so haggard and old in them!!

I used to get really nervous but found a lovely lady who works from her own home. Then DH bought me a voucher for a cut & colour at a newish salon in town & I was so pleased with what the guy did, I carried on going. It’s more expensive but worth the extra cost & he’s such an interesting person.

I like it - not the staring at my reflection, never a flattering thing. But I like someone else washing my hair, a little head massage and the fact I look so much better afterwards. I've tried having it done at home but it cost just as much but I had to wash my own hair and clean it all up afterwards.
One thing I don't go for is professional colour - I've been doing my own for decades and any time I've been talked into getting it done at a salon the results have been ok but my hair is solid grey now so within a month needs touching up.
