To think it's unfair to the royal children

Seeing their little faces all over the media, especially louis who is being made the subject of thousands of memes and being shared by loads of businesses - all because he was acting like a 4 year old?

His parents choose to be in the public eye, the children didn't. Making them sit through hours of boredom with the country gawping at them and judging them for their behaviour.

I can't help but think they're being exploited, and people have lost sight of what's in the children's best interests. Especially large corporations using louis to hawk their products and raise their own profile. He's just a little boy. If he was any non royal child it wouldn't be acceptable. Haven't they learnt anything from harry and william being damaged by growing up in the public eye?

I remember behaving exactly like that when my parents had the brilliant idea of taking us to a loooong classical music concert. We are not royals and definitely not damaged by the experience.

Little Louis is unlikely to know all the country is making a fuss about him. He has not been fending paparazzis around him, hewas just sitting there doing what children do when they are bored and totally unaware, I suspect, of his own importance.

@Roussette

I dont need to watch the TV series.

All the stats agree with me. And as I've repeatedly said, I dont care if its impossible (its not) for them to walk away from their hugely wealthy and privileged lives.

I dont feel any sympathy that they are supposedly trapped.

Roussette · 08/06/2022 06:59

Good for you. We can disagree then, as I've said more than once (agree to disagree). You say it's easy. I say it isn't.

I can feel sympathy for their lives mapped out, you don't feel any sympathy for that. That's fine and your prerogative.
I think we've wound this 'conversation' up now.
Have a good day

George and Charlotte are of an age where they can understand to a point. Louis isn't. He is only 4 after all .I think they have limited exposure, but it still seems unfair to a small child to have to sit still so long .yes companies should not exploit this.

Nah, what gets up my nose when it comes to the royal kids & the jubilee (and other similar royal anniversary occasions) is the way they underline the line of succession by making sure we see HMQ, Charles, William and George together. It’s a big ol’ calculated ‘We Ain’t Going Nowhere’* message.

*Vive le republic

You've hit the nail son the head for me there!
