I loved it. Always knew the Queen's handbag held something cool like marmalade sandwiches 😁😍

GoodJanetBadJanet · 05/06/2022 03:14

The Queen beating out We Will Rock You on a teacup. With Paddington.
Perfection.
oh and this 😍

Er .... yes of course it's actually her Hmm

Can't believe anyone would think it wasn't

In case you don't know the fucking bear is not real...

How dare you. Of course Paddington is real 🤣

pussycatlickinglollyices · 05/06/2022 07:42

How do you follow jumping out of a helicopter and parachuting into the Olympics?

By having tea (and marmalade sandwiches) with Paddington Bear.

I felt quite emotional at the end, one of the highlights of the whole weekend.

balalake · 05/06/2022 08:15

Bit concerned it was white bread, though to be fair it is only for emergencies.

warofthemonstertrucks · 05/06/2022 08:17

Not a dry eye in the nation... and I'm as lefty as they come

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 05/06/2022 08:33

Just perfect.

I loved it. And yes, it touched me too.

Perfect.

Made me ugly cry. DH came in from walking the dog and wondering what the hell was wrong Blush

ah at this

I wasn’t far off. I think I’ll find it hard when we get the news

She looks so happy in that clip, really sweet

AmaryIlis · 05/06/2022 08:44

No reason it wouldn't have been her. Her problem is with walking, and she didn't have to do any walking.

the80sweregreat · 05/06/2022 08:51

Paddington bear is a legend.

DentonsFringeArnottsWaistcoat · 05/06/2022 08:54

Oh that was so lovely 😊. I sort of wish the Queen had done more of this sort of thing over the years, I might have been a Monarchist 😁

PupInAPram · 05/06/2022 09:03

Absolutely flawless PR for the Royal family all the way through. If only we had the same team promoting living in a democracy with freedom of speech. I felt moved by Paddington and the Queen and I'm a full on republican😂

😂😂😂😂

Mummyoflittledragon · 05/06/2022 09:09

Awww that was lovely. Love Paddington and HMQ is so endearing. She definitely has a wicked side!😍

Piggywaspushed · 05/06/2022 09:09

For those who don't seem to have watched the Paddington films , the point of Simon Farnaby is that he is in the actual films . He plays the comedic Barry. ( as well as having co written 2).

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 05/06/2022 09:12

Some of the clips circulating of this cut off the ending, which is genius and not to be missed! Make sure you've seen the whole thing...

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 05/06/2022 09:12

...including teaspoons...

Mommabear20 · 05/06/2022 09:13

That's ace! 🤣

Bumpsadaisie · 05/06/2022 09:14

Something in my eye!

😭🥰

Namechangeplease · 05/06/2022 09:18

Thought it was lovely too! ❤️

For me, this was THE highlight of the whole weekend.
It really was perfect!

MelonsMelonsMelons · 05/06/2022 09:26

Reminds me of Hugh Grant’s anecdote about taking his father to the premier of Paddington 2. Part way through his father leaned over to him and said “Is that bear real?” 😂

SpatzBurger · 05/06/2022 09:27

We remembered the footman from the films but I'm sorry the first thing we all shouted was "That's "Stupid Deaths" from Horrible Histories!" Grin

Ridcully82 · 05/06/2022 09:34

Sorry, think you'll find it was William the Conqueror (and his enemies stood no chance)😁😁👍👍
Loved the Paddington and Queen skit: really excited as about to show it to my Paddington loving, Horrible Histories obsessed four year old, who's loved the jubilee and seeing the queen. Think she'll "quite like" it😁👍
