Why are they bothering?

They hate the UK, the RF, the whole institution and couldn’t wait to escape, accused the RF and British public of being racist, not welcoming Meg, or caring about her mental health. Her SIL even made her cry allegedly! They did a public interview about it being so hard being a Duke and Duchess in the UK that they just had to flee to a California mansion so they could be Royal there instead.

Do we as the public want to see them at a publicly funded celebration of our Queens 70 years on our throne? All they’ve done is embarrass the monarchy selling stories and their connection.

M is a private citizen. She doesn’t need to take private jets.

I never said she needs to take them but plenty of private citizens do. I just take umbrage when people criticise her method of travel when other Royals preach environmentally awareness but have huge carbon footprints.

Honestly this is so untrue it's laughable. The country loved her and were so excited for a royal wedding. I remember it. I live in London and the city was lighthearted and excited. My SIL lives in Windsor and the town was buzzing with crowds and happiness. I took my children and went with friends to Kensington Gardens for a picnic where we all toasted "Harry and Meghan!"

I wish people would just stop lying about this in order to support their own divisive "you're all racist!" agendas.

Perhaps it was also a publicity stunt, we will know soon enough. I don't think H&M are saints & have certainly made mistakes. I just don't hate them or see their behaviour as any worse than other Royals or celebs. But for some reason they are held to a higher standard.

As said last night I expect it makes uncomfortable viewing for some, hence the insults flung at the person who posted it, the inevitable "What about Andrew?", the expansion of the racism claims to include "all" the UK and so on

The UK was not anti Meghan at all. There was a huge amount of goodwill that they threw away. I though she was great at first.

I think it's possible. She's regularly out and about in London without camera. Shopping, riding bikes with her children in Hyde Park, picking them up from school and play dates etc.

That's fair enough up to a point, and I'm another who feels some of the media have been appalling. That said, if people willingly go public with questionable behaviour and toxic allegations about their families, they can't really be surprised if folk comment on what they themselves have done, even if there's an attempt to claim it was in self defence

There can be a certain dignity in silence, but sadly that's something H&M - along with various other RF members - never seem to have learned
