Hello! Actually I read the OP as meaning that she encountered nastiness on a different website? Or am I wrong?
Mumsnet can be harsh at times, but you can guarantee getting an honest answer no matter how stupid the question...
And it is not possible to truly shock anyone here - we've seen it all...

Hecate · 13/01/2008 09:29

Hello there!

Mumsnet is the Marmite of the internet, you'll either love it or loathe it!

Oh...yes. Not using text speak will make everyone very happy indeed.

tinx · 13/01/2008 09:33

yes i encountered nasty wolf like people on another site mostly they were horrible to each other i left swiftly didn't want to deal with that the way im feeling most of the time

PeachesMcLean · 13/01/2008 09:36

Nasty wolf like people? wow, I'm intrigued. Was it wolfsnet?

LadyMuck · 13/01/2008 09:37

Welcome and enjoy your second day.

As well as avoiding textspeak, the use of sentences and punctuation also goes down well! It makes messages much easier to read, and [slightly] less likely to be open to misinterpretation!

tinx · 13/01/2008 09:40

YES i really think it could have been in disguise in there welcome posts they said you will soon encounter the wolfs among the sheep soon enough lots of reference to wolfs im not maybe thats why i wasn't welcome thanks peachesmclean you have helped me come to terms with rejection

Tinx - have you slept yet?

Perhaps you should switch off the computer now or you may start hallucinating that wolves are chasing you.

Welcome to the strange world of MN and Good Luck.

LuckyUnderpants · 13/01/2008 11:23

Morning, sorry about my awful song in the wee hours

I'd been singing it to my ds as he finds it hysterical (i do Klingon and Spock accents, it makes him laugh)

Anyway, it seemed a good idea, at the time, to share it with you

3missys · 13/01/2008 11:40

Greetings! MN is a great place to be but don't get upset if people disagree with anything you may have to say - live and learn.
