Amber Heard is facing the "most voluminous" social media smear campaign ever

I just came across this link on Github and I suppose it should not be shocked by this, but the sheer numbers do shock me. It's the number of posts, comments, tweets and accounts that have been used to spread misinformation about Amber Heard. Here is the link:

Am I being unreasonable to be shocked by this? Why on Earth is this woman targeted with so much hate? Why are MRA's scope-locked on her in particular?

There's definitely a concerted campaign against her and I don't think it's just his fans. On facebook, instagram i get suggested posts and reels critical of her all the time, i don't click on them or read about the case in general but they keep coming. Lots of them are promoted posts, so someone is paying to spread them.

I don't, unfortunately, believe many of the things she says.

I've followed loosely, as have probably the majority. But a couple of things struck me as unusual, as someone who has been in a difficult situation with a partner. The first is that it seems strange to have so many recordings of a loved one (why?), especially ones that dont put yourself in a good light (goading, admitting to assault, etc), and the second, the style of the writing in the 'love notes' from AH to DP, really unusual, differing fonts, very stylised, almost as if theres an expectation they would be for public view. Almost presented as an artwork. Either forward thinking or self important. Certainly not the style of a simple message from one person to another in a private relationship. Odd/narcissistic?

She looked great too me. And I don't think that's a major age gap. Kate wasn't some innocent. They were both living fast lives and I can attest some women have much mature heads on their shoulders than the men they're with.

Well this thread took an unexpected turn, Kate Moss is too poor to afford to live in the Cotswolds?! Was pp actually insinuating JD was 'taking care' of Kate so she wouldn't testify against him?

AH talking today about the death threats she receives, as well as her baby should show the difference in how both parties are being treated. Even when The Sun called him a wife beater JD didn't lose his jobs (at that point), he was called a 'hell raiser' but I doubt he received any threats. I'm sure most of AH death threats are key board losers but I would imagine she is going to need security for her and her daughter for the foreseeable future, she's unlikely to make enough money from her future film career to support that.

OT but I watched a Youtube video on AH plastic surgery - if even half of what the 'expert' thought she had was correct it's a lot.

I keep having to mute the Facebook videos that pop up on my feed and they are still there the next day. Just a constant barrage of misogynistic hate. I don’t particularly like her or necessarily believe her. But I look at his history and those fucking texts between his and Paul Bettany and feel revulsion. There is a massive PR push painting JD as a sweet innocent soul and he just isn’t. I wonder who else stands to loose financially if the facade drops. In the not too distant future people will be looking back at this like we look back at the early 00’s tabloid treatment of famous young women.

Re Kate, if she had stuck up for Amber then that would be OK. People are ignoring tbe fact that she not only downright lied but deliberately connected to a story which once did the rounds to spw seeds of doubt in order to suggest Kate is somehow lying. If Johnny wanted to call Kate to do that he would and could have done. It was amber's silly actions that brought kate.

Women shouldn’t fear the consequences of speaking up about rape and certainly not through people like you scaring them through their children.

But Amber didn't tell the world he raped her with a broken bottle. She said he raped her with a bottle and she had a moment where she thought 'I hope it's not the broken one's while it was happening. Allegedly happening, I'm not saying it did happen BTW but she did NOT claim he had used the broken one.

She also didn't have a child when she wrote the article as you mentioned.

For someone apparently so passionate about this @minutesturntohours you seem to have gotten all of your info from skewed SM posts. Proving ops original point about a concerted anti AH campaign.

She implied it was broken, just like she implied about Kate, just like she implied so that when and if she was caught to be talking absolutely nonsense she could backtrack. I dont know what skewed posts you're referring to. You're being a bit patronising here. Re the article, she deserved what happened as result of it. He has every right to defend himself. In addition the reason shes brought more is because her original claims have been proved as lies.

@Menora nobody is trying to scare her. But you would consider your child before discussing this stuff in front of the nation. Is there any particular reason she took zero criminal action? Are we really expected to believe he raped her with a bottle, attempted to throw her down the stairs etc etc and the same woman who is sharing these details with the world coulxnt possibly come forward?

Point is Amber thought she could and say as she liked with no consequences. Hard lesson learned.

Guilty or not, she never really stood a chance did she? I hate all the stupid short videos in circulation that have been made to paint her and her legal team in the worst possible light.

Bits, but i was shocked that not as much evidence was aloud to be shown, maybe coz it was against the sun paper, i dont know, but that's by the by, she has been shown a liar in the US case,

I think some of the details are true but she’s added in a lot more detail and some of that isn’t true

she said she hoped it wasn’t the broken one

her reaction to others when they arrived (Jerry Judge and Kipper) was to frantically apologise to JD and panic he was going to leave her. She also admitted on tape to taking drugs in Australia and denied it on the stand. I have said all along - this woman prioritised her intense fear of abandonment over any fear of harm to her from JD and this in itself is very worrying and perhaps why she stayed with him

She really reminds me of some of Roxanne Palletts antics.

The thing that annoys me about Amber is j would credit her more, for example the story with Zthe sister and the stairs, if she stuck to truth, as you say. For example, Johnny was drunk and arguing with my sister, I was scared someone would fall or be pushed.

Trying to involve Kate and adding details on is the wrong move here.

I dont doubt t he was toxic, a drinker, took drugs, self harming. She knew that when she married him. I dont believe anything more than that. And I believe she was just as toxic and abusive

Amber Heard hasn’t chosen this, he is suing her. He said that he was going to destroy her and that is exactly what is happening. It’s an absolute disgrace that she is not only forced to face her abuser in court with no screens, no protection, but she’s also having to do it in front of the world’s media. The whole thing is sickening.

Johnny depp doesn’t need to win the case. He’s done what he set out to do.

She tweeted the article on 19Dec 2018 with the title, "I survived sexual violence". The whole point of the court case is that Depp believed that peoole would infer that she,was talking about him.

All of that info came out when he pursued her and the sun through the courts.

In the UK trial no one knew about the sexual violence complaints she'd made against Depp, as the judge heard them in private and no one was informed. They weren't even reported in the judges findings. We do know now that he dismissed the sexual assault at Hicksville.

Her legal team has been paid at least $6m. I can't feel that much sympathy for them really. They haven't done that great a job but to be fair maybe that because of the case, Amber Heard or just that $6m just isn't enough! How scary is that.
