Been living in a temporary house for a few weeks now - we’re here until our new house is ready. Have always lived in semi-detached where none of our main living space has adjoining walls with next door (lounge/bedrooms etc).
In this current house our lounge has an adjoining wall with the neighbour, as does our bedroom so for the first time I’m very aware of the noise from next door.

Really lovely family around the same age as DH and I. They have 2 children - ages 7y and 15m. Both of their children seem to go to bed around 10.30/11pm each night! It struck me as being pretty late but whatever works for their family I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️ Tonight I can hear the kids singing and laughing and it sounds like they’re watching a kids TV show of some kind 🤷🏻‍♀️ One with lots of songs lol

We just have 1 DS at 1.5years and he’s usually asleep by 7/7.30pm on a good night. Usually 8ish on a bad night.

Just curious really - what age are your DC and what time is “bedtime” in your house? 😊

DD 10 yrs when ever she is tired! She is an odd ball but very good at regulating herself with sleep. She has had a busy week this week so on 3 nights was in bed and asleep by 8.30 then other nights she was 11pm. She knows when she is tired so we dont need set bedtimes.

5.55pm this eve.

she had a late night last night. Grumpy from 3pm so bed early. Usually 630

usually does 12-13hrs hopefully won’t wake at 6am

if she does she can play quietly or watch ceebeebies in bed

my sanity needed her to be in bed this eveninf

was asleep prob 5.59 😂

22 months and usually goes to sleep between 9pm and 10pm, wakes between 5am and 6am 😣she has 30-60 min nap around lunchtime. Basically she needs less sleep than we do apparently!

8 year old between 7 and 8, closer to 7 on a school night.

15 year old is usually in bed by 8.30, her choice though, she has some social anxiety and it wears her out. She loves her bed!

13 year old goes whenever but I often hear her getting into bed around 10.30. I would like her to go earlier but she spends a long time winding down.

I’ve 9 year old twins. During the week bedtime is 8:30 and on weekends it’s 9:30.

6 yr old in bedtime books at 7:30 and 8yr old books at 8:00.
usually read with them for 20 mins then they have anywhere between 10 mins to an hour or reading or playing in bed until they drop off.

both always wake early even on the rare occasion they have a late night.
