Yesterday I brought a jar of Nutella home from shopping; SIL and three kids have never seen this stuff. This morning I gave DD a piece of "tella toast" and the three kids went ape that she got chocolate for breakfast. I said "It's hazelnut spread with some cocoa in it", then SIL commented that cocoa by itself is nasty and they wouldn't like it.
I did not point out that Nutella contains sugar which makes that cocoa taste pretty dang good. I never said it didn't have sugar, I just ignored the misconception.
I love my Nutella, I don't really want to share with three hungry teenagers! You're going to say "YANBU", right? Please? Right? And is it wrong to give my own dd the odd piece of her dearly loved "tella toast" when I don't want to let the lot of them scarf the whole jar in one day?
