To be utterly sick of sport

DH will literally watch it all on the TV

By the time we have taken the kids to all their weekend sports (they are 12 and 10) there are not many hours left at the weekend. Then it’s football, snooker of whatever on the TV. DH just happy to sit and watch this.

unfortunately we don’t have much disposable income at the moment so not really got much cash to go anywhere. We don’t have any access to babysitters.

so given we can’t go anywhere Aibu to feel absolutely sick of sport being in the TV - but knowing there isn’t anything else we can do anyhow?

What’s your question I’m only saying as a an adult I’d never be bored again with tv.

I love sport, but you do have to watch other stuff. Can you start a series together, could you spare a bit of cash to sign up for Disney plus for a few months maybe and give that a go and start doing a movie night once a week on a Friday/Saturday? Aldi snacks don’t cost much or make your own pizzas and a film, they have some fab ones that have just been out at the cinema. And lots of interesting National Geographic stuff too

I think AgnesNaismith was saying that your post was difficult to read.

Thank you for explaining that yes it was now I think of it but it’s true. I was brought up in a house were the adults not me as as adult got first choices. Husband will moan if I’m not interested in something he wants to watch I’ve sat through some films that have bored me rigid I won’t do it now.

There is no way snooker or cycling would on the main TV as it is so boring, DH is allowed to watch it downstairs when I go to bed, you just need to set the TV rules.

Allowed?! Does he ask permission to use the toilet as well? 😂

I’ve got the bedroom biggest tv in there anyway he can watch what he likes in living room I’m past caring. Except Simpson’s the headphones go on for that the only program I won’t put up with had too for years.
