namely -the SMA progress one that has the bloke saying various sickly things "I promise to kiss your neck even though it smells of perfume adn baby sick..I promise to say thank you for being a wonderful mrs" - and I promise to punch your lights out if you ever do anything of the sort you is how I feel.

And don't even get me started on the peugeot (I think) ad where it has the bloke with a mullet skipping around smugly with his baby wearing an idiotic smile presumably because he is fertile..

Ok - I know I'm a bit hormonal but I don't think I'm being unreasonable

YANBU.

Its ok.

bunnyhunny · 09/01/2008 21:48

I used to throw things at the tv when watching adverts (and often at question time too) - quite therapeutic actually.
We have an lcd tv now, so I can't

Yanbu

The SMA one is revolting:

Should read :

I promise not to shag another woman whilst you have leaky boobs and piles and a bruised perineum and wont let me near you for 6 months at least.

I promise not to roll in totally pissed up after "wetting the babies head" with 20 other blokes whilst you are in bed with above leaks, piles and bruises.

I promise not to bugger off and leave you because I am not ready for the responsibility of a baby.

In cynical mood tonite as you can see!

Alambil · 09/01/2008 22:53

I don't get that advert - it goes on about promises for a newborn but is advertising progress (from 12m onwards) milk!!

I know the rules on milk advertising so realise why they've done it but the ad doesn't even work properly now!

pyjamagirl · 09/01/2008 22:56

I hate the new weight watchers one

Kimi · 11/01/2008 08:07

I hate the slimfast one, and shes not even bloody slim!!!!!!

hippipotami · 11/01/2008 08:11

The slimfast one, with the tedious rhymes. I mean really, they could only think of 'funky monkey' to rhyme with 'chunky'? And 'booty' wft???

No, it is the worst ad on tv at the moment, I dislike it so much I cannot even say!

Lizzzombie · 11/01/2008 08:11

I hate the one for MFI (I think its them) where there are lots of families who feel so at home in their showrooms they have big arguments in the fake kitchens/bedrooms etc.
Its horrible and I don't like hearing all that shouting and nastiness.
Its not funny or clever.

(btw - I live in la la land where that never happens!)

poppy34 · 11/01/2008 19:25

lizzi -that isnt a favourite of mine either but there is one with this smug woman where they freeze frame her kitchen (moben I think) with her kids running in. I'm afraid I see her..and have the same reaction as I do to peugeot man or sma progress.

mum2 one -you did make me laugh -hope you're feeling less cynical now.

Umlellala · 11/01/2008 19:30

Lizzz I am SO with you.
I never want to go to MFI now ever ever ever. Why would seeing nasty family arguments make you want to buy a kitchen?

And SMA are v clever - insinuating that the onl way that Dads can truly share in parenting is by sharing with the formula feeding too...

May one suggest the OFF Button
