Mauve!!! The very word makes me shudder. It sounds like nails down a blackboard to me.

Twee words like "squeeeeee" "hubby/hubster" "holibobs" "Chrimbo" annoy me, but the word mauve really elicits a visceral reaction in me

Cous means female anatomy in Arabic 😹

Brilliant! I was just thinking that it was interesting and possibly quite telling that many of the words people don't like relate to female anatomy - so it's ironic that my word comes back to that too 🙈.

SocksAndTheCity · 24/04/2022 00:02

Only fifty posts in and already two people have beaten me to 'panties' 🤢

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 24/04/2022 00:04

Cous means female anatomy in Arabic

Hence this entry in the online Bilingual Arabic-Scots Video Dictionary:

idontknowdoi · 24/04/2022 00:05

I know it's slang, but the absolute worst for me is probably 'fags' 🤢

DressingGownofDoom · 23/04/2022 23:40

Bitch I can't stand it. Unless it's in the context of dog breeding.

That's my most loathed word too. Glad someone else feels the same.
I also loathe the word shagging too 😡

RosesAndHellebores · 24/04/2022 00:08

Kids (belong to goats)
Nanny (a female goat)
Luvvy (reductive term for patients)
Ta (it's thank you)
Tootsies (they are feet)
Woolly (it's a Jumper or cardigan)
Hanky panky (let's not go there)

Slacks

LoveSpringDaffs · 24/04/2022 00:12

I don't mind most of those, but chillax sends my blood pressure into over drive!! Really REALLY riles me up.

LeftieLucy · 24/04/2022 00:13

Chav. It’s horrible and people use it to try and make themselves look better.

also hate the word digit.

Getoutofthis · 24/04/2022 00:14

Smegma 🤢

medicmummm · 24/04/2022 00:19

Getoutofthis · 24/04/2022 00:14

Smegma 🤢

That equally means something disgusting too ... perhaps a fitting name

Boobs instead of breasts. Also hubs or hubby. Fanny instead of vulva. And the phrase " my bad"

SnowRoses · 24/04/2022 00:21

When someone says ‘My bad’

It actually sends me insane

dollymuchymuchness · 24/04/2022 00:29

Intimacy

midsomermurderess · 24/04/2022 00:31

Currently, ‘entitled’. It’s bloody everywhere.

Feckingfeck · 24/04/2022 00:38

My bad 🤮

Plant based 😂 .... no your DC is very much meat based!

Fubla72 · 24/04/2022 00:45

I’ve too many to pick just one. Like others here - moist & belly make me queasy. Yummy too.

Also, when weather people say ‘misty & murky’. Is murky different from misty? I don’t get it. It’s like baby talk.

Kissifer · 24/04/2022 01:39

Squelch
Minge
Moist
CU Next Tuesday - have never said this word out loud!
slurp
Panties. - is this actually a word or just a play on the word “pants?’🤷‍♀️
Bitch - have to say ‘lady-dog’. instead when talking about female dogs!
Squeeeee - what???
Pus - 🤮

AnAfternoonWalk · 24/04/2022 01:50

Sht and shte

Yet the word is everywhere. Including on here. I am repulsed every time someone uses it and it’s incredibly crass.

nearlyspringyay · 24/04/2022 01:53
