Calculathor · 23/04/2022 23:33

DressingGownofDoom · 23/04/2022 23:40

Bitch I can't stand it. Unless it's in the context of dog breeding.

torfa · 23/04/2022 23:41

Another vote for Belly. I hate it!

DressingGownofDoom · 23/04/2022 23:42

And 'bump' when referring to your unborn baby, 'happy Father's Day from me and the bump' 'how are you and bump' oh Christ it's so bloody twee I can't stand it

cremeeggsonboxingday · 23/04/2022 23:42

WeasilyPleased · 23/04/2022 23:25

Unctuous. Revolting word 🤢

Came here to say that. I don't know why but it makes me gag a little bit

CPL593H · 23/04/2022 23:43

Soothe. I know what it means but I just hate it.

FrankGrillosFloof · 23/04/2022 23:43

Squiff70 · 23/04/2022 23:44

idontknowdoi · 23/04/2022 23:45

Cous means female anatomy in Arabic 😹

OP posts:
Persephonee · 23/04/2022 23:55

Supper .... and particularly fish supper.

toastedcat · 23/04/2022 23:55

I saw someone say "tummy button" earlier and it repulsed me for some reason. It sounds childish and twee.

Some of the words people hate here are great though! I personally love unctuous, belch and burp 😂

WhackingPhoenix · 23/04/2022 23:58

Gunge or mulch.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 23/04/2022 23:59

Couscous, obviously.

I find any word arrogant that feels the need to have a self-aggrandising reprise built in to its name - as if it's like New York, New York or something. You've said your piece and we get your point:

Cous
Bana
Cumber
Abracad
Brouha
Wagga

Numbers are allowed, as there is a noble descriptive purpose in repeating e.g. Eight hundred and eighty-eight.

Boutros Ghali squeaks a narrow let-off (so to speak) as his parents gave it to him, so can't blame him personally.

I hate the words 'clutch' and 'thrust'.

On the other hand, favourite word? 'Potato', every single time.
