Basically how do you not stress about work when you aren’t there? How do you make sure you have energy to do stuff outside of work?!

Oh.... and low standards when it comes to housework etc

Oblomov22 · 23/04/2022 15:11

Nope. Never been an issue, ever. I do accounts, I go home. No stress.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 23/04/2022 17:20

I don’t. It doesn’t help that I work from home 3 days a week and my workstation is set up
on the dining table.

I’ve decided things are going to change when I get back from holiday though. I’m going to start finishing on time and going to the gym whether I’ve got work to do or not and I’m going to start putting my screen away on A Friday night so I don’t have to look at it all the time. I might also try going into the office more often if other people are in. Other than that I need a new job!

I literally never think about work once I've finished for the day/week. Work have 'bought' 37.5 hours of my time and if they want more then they have to pay for it 🤷‍♀️ I once had a job where I thought about it constantly and it was one of the reasons I left as it was affecting my home life.

Thos may have been something I read here but something that put things in perspective for me as a qutoe something along the lines of your employer wont remember you once you are gone but your family will so invest yourself in being present for them because it will be truly appreciated rather than ober investing in an employer who can replace you and move on at the drop of a hat
