I've cut down on my calories and can fit into my jeans again. Only lost five pounds but it's made a big difference. 😊 What nice things have happened to you this week?

The sun shone and I remembered how wonderful life can feel.

We went to a posh restaurant with my husband and his family, I gave my 3yr old son my mums kindle to play some games on and he loved it, every time he won he cheered and gave me a big kiss to celebrate!

@OfstedOffred it's been long and slow, used the method where I decide what goes on the plate and she would decide what she eats from that. Went against my instincts when she refused meals to simply not comment. Her food intake was so low at times I would wonder how she has energy to do anything. I did resort to hiding veg in meals I knew she would accept (as well as serving them alone on the plate knowing full well they would end up in the bin).

We don't praise or punish and this caused conflict with grandparents who wanted nothing more than to praise and reward with chocolate (we have an otherwise excellent relationship with them)

I think starting school and school lunches together with the constant reinforcement at school of what constitutes a healthy diet has helped - she now comes home saying why veg are so good for her and wants to try them. I agree with her and offer but don't show excitement

The change has been very gradual and it only hit me yesterday how much and how well she ate this week and over the Easter holidays when we were away. DC2 loves his food but copies her!
