I've cut down on my calories and can fit into my jeans again. Only lost five pounds but it's made a big difference. 😊 What nice things have happened to you this week?

I'm still losing weight . Passed my 6 month probation at work. Shitty neighbour moved out.

I was offered a new job. I'd had three unsuccessful interviews lately and was starting to worry that I wouldn't find something, but then this one came through 🙂

A colleague told me he couldn't do his job with mout me (he could) and that I keep him sane (I probably do). It's nice to be appreciated

My brother has to have an emergency operation (which is obviously not a good thing) but I did love seeing my large, lovely family swing in to action…
“I’ll drive you there”
”I’ll take the kids”
”I’ll cook you a loads of dinners for when you get home”
Etc etc

Very reassuring knowing that all of us have got this great big security blanket around us at all times! We’re lucky😍

Went to the shiny new garden centre with my friend that's only just opened near me.

We were in heaven with all the plants and garden paraphernalia plus tea and cake in the huge eating area.

Spent a lovely couple of hours admiring all the lovely expensive garden furniture neither of us can afford.

Will be going again next week. 😀

I saw my three great nieces and sister (twice) this week. They live 20+ miles away and I'm no longer very mobile, so cannot visit them.

and I got my hearing aids adjusted, so I can hear properly again.

My stepson messaged me to ask if he could come and stay this weekend.

We haven't seen him for a few weeks (he is an adult) so looking forward to catching up and fussing over him for the weekend. Plus my little children adore having him to stay and are always much better behaved!

Sunday was my birthday so I was spoilt! I got an amazing cocktail glass from Oliver Bonas (it’s shaped like a pineapple and amazing for my piña coladas) a beautiful diamond bracelet, a lovely oil painting, a flower subscription and a personalised Apple Watch/phone charger holder. All very beautiful and thoughtful gifts.
The rest of the week has been great too, we’ve all had the week off so we’ve been to the zoo, the beach, a museum and the local river walk, no tantrums or tears from either of the DDs except for when tired, it’s been my happiest week in a while!

I cycled to work every day without feeling too terrified (was knocked off my bike in October and got very scared).

We had a very positive meeting with SS this morning.

My son went on his very first playdate at a friends house after school today, he had a good time, but more importantly his poor friends parents survived the ordeal.

I got offered a job I really wanted! I was quite wary of going for it (big step up) but got it. Yesss!

I had a week off and actually had a great time with my 3 teenagers.
The youngest one spent most nights playing ARK with her stepdad, and they had a great time. She ended each night by making sure I had her dinosaur teddy to take to bed, and having a cuddle. She's 13 so I always appreciate it - sure it will end soon!
The middle one unusually spent some time watching a drama TV show with me, and we both loved it. They told me a lot about their best friend, who is amazing for them. They had a great week.
The oldest one had a great time with his friend but also spent lots of time hanging out with the other two and with me - we played UNO and had a lot of laughs.
It's the first holiday for a while that I've really relaxed. So many little things that have made me so proud of my kids. I've got a weekend with my partner to look forward to. He's taking us to a smokehouse for lunch tomorrow. I feel properly happy for the first time in a while. Back to work next week but feel like I've had my first proper break in a few years tbh!

Took my 15 month old to stay with my parents for the week, it was wonderful to see how much joy she brings them.

I had lunch out with a couple of friends. On the train home an elderly lady came up to us as we left the train and said she had been listening to us on the journey and said we had a great friendship that we should hang on to and really cherish. What a lovely thing to say 🥰

Blue tits perched in my holly tree and I had my nails "done" for the first time in my life. Can't stop looking at them ❤️💅🏼

My teenagers wanted to spend time with me. More than once, too!

I managed to build a wheelbarrow and put a toddler size broom together for FC1's 2nd birthday, I think DH would've been proud. I also managed to set up the security camera after changing the hub, he definitely would've been proud of that one, the cameras were always his job.

Currently away in Madinah and seeing people sharing their iftar meals with the stray cats. Was a really beautiful sight to see.
