Saw it on Twitter. Well here's a shout out to all my fellow "extremists". And all because we say no to bullshit and won't suffer fools gladly 😉

Perfect, we can add "LTB" in italics

Fantastic flag! Perhaps a roast chicken ‘rampant’ as well? Grin

@lljkk

I think it's fair enough comparison. There's a lot of dogmatic bullying purist thinking here.
I applaud your newly acquired level of self-insight.

Whatever brought this about for you, possibly pausing to actually read the thoughtful responses that you typically receive, I welcome this damascene conversion.

I look forward to this being reflected in future posts that will be a vole face from your prior comments and persona.

DomesticatedZombie · 18/04/2022 16:08

Who was it that suggested Mumsnet be referred to Prevent, again?

Remember, readers, if you stare into AIBU the void for too long, you'll find it stares back at you.

I, too, look forward to seeing this vole face, Embarrassing. Grin

I blame all those women talking about new paving slabs.

IamMala · 18/04/2022 16:14

If only Mumsnet had been around when I was a young, spineless and lonely single mother!

MrsBrodie · 18/04/2022 16:14

For those who agree with the tweet, why on earth are you on here then??

HemanOrSheRa · 18/04/2022 16:16

Mumsnet is 'A Radicalisation Portal' make no mistake Wink.

I readily admit that auto-correct is there to make me look semi-literate, sweet tho' it is on this occasion. Easter Blush

Because they are Brave Freedom Fighters dedicated to repressing I mean overcoming I mean silencing the Evil Women.

@BewareTheBeardedDragon

The loobrush factions are getting violent.
To be fair, a dirty loo brush is a weapon of mass destruction...

I expect Al-Queda take a dim view of cheeky fuckerism, along with all the other things they disapprove of, so maybe there's truth in it. Wink

Blurp Grin stretchy chicken! There’s chickens everywhere you know and we aren’t the only ones that have to stretch them!

I was told that Mumsnet was a cult recently, also on Twitter and also by a man.

Apparently I should think for myself and not just what the cult tell me to write.

Did that 'thinking for yourself' entail agreeing with him, by any chance?

Heresy!

What they need is an - investigation - of some kind. One where the persons investigating are easily identifiable. Perhaps they could wear distinctive robes and a hat, maybe in red?

I'll get me comfy chair.

100problems · 18/04/2022 19:36

Say what you like about al Queda. You wouldn't see a CF park across their drive twice.

There was a strong whiff of a Zoflora cult for a while but that is not as strong as it was and seems to have been prompted by Hinch and acolytes.
DomesticatedZombie · 18/04/2022 21:21

Definitely a cult.

We even have a poster called RepentMotherfucker, somewhere. If that's not culty I don't know what is.

Artichokeleaves · 18/04/2022 21:49

I think to be a proper cult HQ would have to stop people leaving. Instead of having a flouncers corner and letting them pop in and out at will to their hearts' content and no one caring. And there'd have to be a group belief that HQ and Justine were unquestionable and everyone submitted to their will instead of moaning at them a lot (and having a whole site stuff board full of the daily moans and criticisms). And no one would be permitted to do things like go to the gym/ go out with their mates/ have a life/ instead of .... well, the whole place being full of individual people having individual lives and going all over the place and socialising as they want to and reading whatever they want and coming back here and talking about it.

I have to say, as a cult, MN is really lacking. In pretty much all the key characteristics, they're not good at it.

DomesticatedZombie · 18/04/2022 21:55

YABU Artichoke it's exactly the kind of cult that lazyarses thrawn people like me prefer. Probably they could do more general threatening with swords, though, that aspect is definitely lacking.
