Saw it on Twitter. Well here's a shout out to all my fellow "extremists". And all because we say no to bullshit and won't suffer fools gladly 😉

@babyjellyfish

On the basis that Al-Qaeda is an organisation which seeks to terrorise those who don't share their beliefs in something not proven to exist, and which believes that female people are inferior to male people and shouldn't have equal rights including the right to speak freely, I'm willing to bet the person who made that comment has more in common with Al-Qaeda than most Mumsnet users.

Bet it was a man with a beard

@PonyPatter44

If we are like al Qaeda for women, does that mean we won't be getting any more psycheques from.the religious right? I am so confused (and still skint).
Still waiting for mine. They keep saying it's in the post. Grin

@LaWench

At what time are we beheading the Men?
Will I get arrested for laughing at this? 😀

We see them for what they are and won't pander to their bullshit.

That's why they hate us.

Artichokeleaves · 18/04/2022 15:21

"Women talking to each other is a bit annoying to misogynist agendas, and that makes it just like a network of Islamic extremists."

Uhm, no pet.

Blurp · 18/04/2022 15:22

I'm surprised to learn that Al-Qaeda spend so much time discussing how to stretch a chicken out over 4 nights and worrying about parking.

Artichokeleaves · 18/04/2022 15:23

On the plus side, the UN are going to love this particular assignment.

Zero fatalities, zero risk of any kind (save for exposure to facts, words, evidence and argument), and the insurgents make cake.

whenwilliwillibefamous · 18/04/2022 15:24

Doesn't really offer the same opportunities for foreign travel, extreme lifestyle change and having your citizenship stripped afaik

I bet they have really good diagrams. Aniconic, of course. That’s probably, literally, the only difference between them and us.

That's nothing. Just wait until you hear the bunfight over whether they should log it with the Police that a delivery driver looked in the window before dropping off a parcel, or worse, had the temerity to say 'hello' to their precious first born.

I think it's fair enough comparison. There's a lot of dogmatic bullying purist thinking here.

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 18/04/2022 15:36

The loobrush factions are getting violent.

Hi Owen, took a break from Twitter to pop on here did you?

Which is not exactly Islamic extremism though, is it?

Hyperbolic much?

toastofthetown · 18/04/2022 15:37

Sorry, why did you think you were being unreasonable?

Best watch out. There'll be a schism forming between the bog standard pun intended plastic bristle and the overpriced silicon cat tongue things before we know it.
HandShoe · 18/04/2022 15:41

@livyaz

Maybe we should have a flag 😃
Ooh..can it feature a fat ball, Pom bears and a parking diagram? We should probably leave off the pen is beaker..
Mnusernc · 18/04/2022 15:43

Capitalism is built on women's unpaid labour. We realise this.

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 18/04/2022 15:49

the pen is beaker this is some kind of zen. It probably has a sinister meaning and is a code to one of our number to LTB (labotomise the bastard)

MarshmallowSwede · 18/04/2022 15:52

So they compared a bunch of mostly
Women, pregnant, not pregnant, breastfeeding not breastfeeding, moms and non moms to a terrorist organization that actually kill people?

I didn’t know that talking about feminism or talking about conception or relationships was the same as committing a suicide bombing.

At what time are we beheading the Men?
And will there be tea and biscuits? And a smoking area?
