To attempt to buy Easter eggs, or am I way too late?

I need a couple of large Easter eggs. Local supermarket yesterday had sold out.

Have I left it too late and its the same everywhere? Or are there any shops with loads left?...

All of the local supermarkets had sold out a few days ago but saw some of the large £10 Cadbury eggs in my local corner shop! Always worth a look!

I was late this year due to having covid last week. Went to Tesco and there was loads of nestle and for Cadbury only the crème egg ones with the mug, millions of orange twirl ones and lots of wispa ones so everyone in my family has been bought a wispa egg

Not been to shops recently.

But loads a couple of days ago in the local morrisons.

Why have you left it so late? They have been in the shops from 1 jan!

If it's like last year there'll be plenty at half price on Monday, I've seen loads in most supermarkets, Aldi had an egg mountain they'll be lucky to shift.

I got back from Morrisons 2 hours ago and they had LOADS of Easter eggs, of all sizes. There were still piles at the front of the shop, and the Seasonal aisle was still joint Easter / Ramadan.

Just been in a Morrisons for other shopping the Easter eggs had gone and replaced with garden items.

I went to a Lidl on Wednesday and very few left.

I've just been to a Sainsburys and there is lots left. People where looking puzzled over why there were so many.

The stores are about 5 miles away from each other.

Not everyone has storage space for items like that.

I went to big Tesco yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at how well stocked the shelves were. Not just Easter eggs but fresh produce and all the other lines. It felt like pre Covid days.

There were loads in the Coop. I can't bring myself to buy Easter Eggs too far in advance, it's chocolate eggs not Christmas. There are usually some somewhere.

Loads in Sainsbury's this afternoon! They will probably sell them off cheaply on Monday too

I never said I bought them 2 months ago, just that they have been available for 2 months up until recently. I bought most of mine 2 to 3 weeks ago. Not that hard to understand surely?

According to our local Facebook page, three of the supermarkets donated loads to the food bank at the end of last week and a local group fundraised to buy 50 more. So you may not be able to buy any Easter eggs but the food bank customers will be happy.

Many can't buy and not eat them 🤣

I ate my only easter egg weeks ago, dh gave me it before being deployed.

Thank you, thanks for all the suggestions- I went to a Sainsbury's petrol station and yes they had a good choice!

I left it so late because
a) money is v tight and I wanted to be sure what size of eggs I could afford
b) I have 3 paid and 1 volunteer job so I'm quite busy
c) I had already got some easter treats just not actually eggs
d) I suspected ex H would mess about over Easter plans

So quite a lot of reasons actually!
