Hello,

About it to book a day out for my nephew. Can't decide between Legoland and Peppa Pig World. He's three. Which is better for a three year old?

Paultons Park without a doubt.

Appleseesaw · 14/04/2022 12:41

Props Pig World gets my vote. I’ve been to both and think PPW is better, especially if you’ve got small children. If you’re lucky, there will be virtually no queues at PPW. The rest of the park at Paulton’s is great too.

Thank you. Is it only Peppa pig world that is included in the ticket? What does the rest of the park consist of?

I think it depends how old the kids are and what they are interested in! My kids have had an absolute blast at both. I think whichever way one you pick you'll have fun. If they haven't started school yet, definitely PPW.

Cric · 14/04/2022 12:46

With PPW all included in the price. I liked the dinosaur bit.

arapunzel · 14/04/2022 12:46

Paultons Park is great for that age. For the ticket you get access to all of the park. Outside of the Peppa Pig part there’s a dinosaur part, an American west themed side, and lots of normal rides like merry go round, little land train etc.
Only advice would be the early play pass for the Peppa side is definitely worth it - easily get on 5 rides with no queues

LetsGoCrazyPurpleBanana · 14/04/2022 12:46

Paultons without a doubt. Hate Legoland.

noblegiraffe · 14/04/2022 12:50

Peppa Pig is better for a 3 year old. Bring swimming stuff the splashy Muddy Puddles bit.

TeenPlusCat · 14/04/2022 12:52

Paultons Park is fab for that age
Some fab rides in the non PPW bits, we especially liked the tractors and the seals if they are still there.

bellamountain · 14/04/2022 12:53

Absolutely, it's so clean as well.

TeenPlusCat · 14/04/2022 12:53

How tall is he? If under 1m you get in free.

TeenPlusCat · 14/04/2022 12:54

The animals were good too. We liked the 'kings don't take advice froms' aka hornbills.

ttcbabyk · 14/04/2022 13:11

Thanks everyone PP has been booked!

Now that it's been booked, I'd love to hear your recommendations as to what attractions/rides a three year old would love the most.

Also, how is PP for food? What do they have?

We have taken our DC (3 and 6) to Paultons Park every Easter since the eldest was two. It's absolutely brilliant for toddlers, although the eldest is now six and still really enjoys it. Always lovely and clean and the staff are very friendly. We went last week for a few days and the queues were very short. The wider park itself is included in the ticket price and has lots of things the younger ones can go on too: mini roller coasters, land trains, small water rides.
I was considering taking them to Legoland but might avoid it now, after seeing these responses!

Octomore · 14/04/2022 13:15

Peppa Pig Land comes recommend by our PM himself.

LampLighter414 · 14/04/2022 13:15

Peppa Pig World has Boris's endorsement

I heard David Cameron was a fan of Peppa too..

We’ve been going yearly to both. They both have awesome rides so just make sure you go term time if you csn.

TeenPlusCat · 14/04/2022 13:22

All of these are from at least 6 years ago:
Same side as PPW

  • carousel
  • viking boats
  • tractors
  • george's dinosaur ride
  • the land train
Other side
  • seals
  • chairs
  • dinosaur egg ride
  • dinosaur roller coaster

Have a lovely time.

There are lockers so you can bring your own picnic and put it away if you want to, also for towels etc for the water areas.

Appleseesaw · 14/04/2022 13:28

Measure your nephew before you go. If he’s over 90cm, you get to go on a huge number of rides and he gets in free if he’s under 1m.

When you get there, I would go left and leave PPW until the afternoon. I’ve always found it busier in the morning. The helicopter ride takes ages to load everyone up, so I’d avoid that unless there’s little/no queue.

You’ll have a great time. I’ve been four times with small children and have always had a good time.

namechangetheworld · 14/04/2022 13:35

Ah, cross posted, have a fantastic time OP.

The most popular rides with my three year old in Peppa World were George's Dinosaur Ride, Windy Castle, the Queens Carriages and Grandpa Pig's Boats, although she enjoyed everything to be honest (bar the slightly tedious helicopter ride.) The soft play and outdoor play park are fab too.

In the wider park her favourites were the seal ride, the land train that goes around most of the park, the dinosaur mini roller coaster and the dinosaur eggs and boulders ride. The best places to eat were in the new American themed section, and there were two great play parks there too.

Enjoy!

Cric · 14/04/2022 13:39

Sorry! That was an accident Q!

Wheniruletheworld · 14/04/2022 13:43

Boris Johnson seems to be a big fan of Peppa Pig world...

kirinm · 14/04/2022 13:47

Why would you recommend term time? Is not all of it open outside term time?

TeenPlusCat · 14/04/2022 13:49

less busy in term time.
