If you have a big baby, is it more likely to be born earlier ?

36 weeks.. I know measurements can be off. Baby is 80th centile at the moment with femur length off the charts...and bigger belly, but not off yeh charts.

Is there any way he might want to come earlier if he's big ? I think my bump is at term size now and I'm really really really really really struggling.

No talk of induction I guess, because I'm having an elective section at 39 weeks anyway. If I wasn't, would they induce soon ? I might try pushing him out at this rate, if it makes him come out sooner. Grin

At my wits end !

I was 41+5 less than 5ft tall and baby 9’4oz before they carried out a planned section, they brought number 2 out earlier just before 39 weeks and he was already 8’10 and sat breech till 36 weeks

So sadly No they won’t do your section early just because you’re big and uncomfortable because it’s not beneficial for baby
