have been at A&E all afternoon with DD...she fell in the school playground and totally messed her mouth up.we sat there for 3 hours without anyone offering her any kind of pain relief.when we did get seen the doctor was outraged that she had been left there without any as on closer inspection there was a 2 cm wide gash in her cheek, as you can imagine the swelling is really bad, to tp it all off the childminder rang to inform me that DS had bumped his head and burst his mouth open i am so naffed off and wanted to rant

DD is in bed with lips resembling angelina jolie and ds is totally fine. im just glad they decided not to stitch her mouth...it would have been mega traumatic for her she has been so brave

No yanbu at all! What a horrible day. Hope they are all OK.

But please please please don't put ice in it. I was so offended when I asked DH for cider when we were on holiday in the summer and it came with ice in it. I had to pick it all out and lose it on the floor... But I am an old fart from a cider making area so perhaps I take it too seriously?

FAWKEOFF · 07/01/2008 18:32

well my day has been nowhere near as stressful as yours, my house is a shitehole and im doing nothing but sitting on mn!

oh and my 14mo has been 'napping' since 4pm! and i cant be @rsed to get him up as then id have to 'watch' him whereas dd is happily 'reading' (i use this term loosely) her library books!
