I’m really sorry but the snow is my fault…

We put grass seeds down, talked about picnics and a visit to the beach when it gets warm.

Clearly we’re being punished for my transgressions.

It’s so cold my knee has started to hurt.

I’ll get the electric throw back out of the wardrobe. Don’t worry. That’ll do it.

Good good! I'll stick the winter tog duvets back on the beds.
GherkinsOnToast · 31/03/2022 18:02

You'll all be warm again by Saturday I've just ordered a new load of wood, had the oil filled and the kids winter coats finally arrived Grin

ODFOx · 31/03/2022 18:05

It's my fault.
After 5 years in the planning and saving they are pouring concrete into the foundations on our extension tomorrow.
I felt so guilty today I took soup and toasties out for the team mid-morning.

They were driving the diggers with blue knuckles !

FourChimneys · 31/03/2022 18:10

I put away my thermal long johns at the weekend. I got them out again today, and despite the looming increase in bills, gave then a short blast with the hairdryer before I put them on so that they were instantly cosy.

DH has been sanding and oiling the patio furniture.

Kddie · 31/03/2022 18:13

I ordered a skip to clear out the garden! My bad!

whoturnedthesunoff · 31/03/2022 18:14

I also offer apologies as I washed my Oodie

It took 3 days for the bastard thing to dry

I then put it away and shaved my legs

Billybagpuss · 31/03/2022 18:17

@LazyDoll

Billy! Hi! I’ve realised it was DEFINITELY me!! Taking off my gloves and bootees and going neoprene free on Friday has just scuppered spring!!!!
@LazyDoll me too, it was 11 degrees and glorious. 😂

Thank you for the record breaking heatwave we’re about to have Grin
LazyDoll · 31/03/2022 18:28

I’ll fill up the wood basket as penance AND sweep out the fire as cba before ‘cos Spring’ but clearly we know how THAT panned out Blush

Stegosaurusesrock · 31/03/2022 18:33

It's DS1's infants school - they sent a message home asking for sunhats and sunscreen for their trays.

I may also have washed and line dried all the winter coats, hats, scarves, mittens and gloves. And I threw out the odd ones and the really ratty ones.

MzHz · 31/03/2022 18:40

I bought sandals

Rosebel · 31/03/2022 18:41

My fault too. I brought summer sandals. I have already suffered as I stupidly washed my coat for work and was frozen today as my coat was still wet!

707smile · 31/03/2022 18:46

@SirChenjins

I got carried away and hung my washing out to dry. I also removed my thermal vest and started looking at sandals online. I live in Edinburgh ffs - the sandal weather doesn’t arrive for another 5 months.
Or at all!
Figmentofimagination · 31/03/2022 18:59

I have lots to admit. I'm very sorry.

I washed my oodie
I bought DS shorts
DH bought new garden furniture and built it
We sat outside on Sunday for hours. I read a book, DH and DS did some gardening and they both wore shorts. We also put suncream on DS
I've had the windows open all day last week
DS wanted to water the garden with his water gun.

My neighbours and parents are also to blame. The neighbours have their parasol out, my dad jet washed the deck and got the garden furniture out AND prepped the pizza oven ready to be used for the first time this year.

I would say my dad is also to blame as he's wearing shorts but he wears them all year round so that doesn't count.

riotlady · 31/03/2022 19:07

A woman I work with has an outdoor wedding booked for next week! Clearly all her fault

mbosnz · 31/03/2022 19:11

As Kiwis, we are used to four seasons in one day.

Four seasons in one bloody hour?

Honestly. . .

Milknosugarta · 31/03/2022 19:14

I wore shorts and had a 99 😬

What the actual FUCK?

Who would DO that?!

MuggleMadness · 31/03/2022 19:20

@EV117

My mum warned me not to put grass seed down because, unlike all of us, she checks the weather forecast. Apparently it was well known information that it would get cold again 😂
Sun with your Mum, it's been looming on the weather apps! I'm only surprised the Daily Express didn't have headlines for weeks!!
ODFOx · 31/03/2022 20:02

Cast n'er a clout 'til May be out.

Just sayin'

SirChenjins · 31/03/2022 20:13

Which up here happens around the start of July. I should know by now - 53 years I’ve been on this earth and I still put the thermals away too soon

JackieWeaverHandforthCouncil · 31/03/2022 20:27

Lol. The sun haters who can’t cope with the 2 weeks a year it’s above 22C were already complaining and praying for winter again last week.

In any case it was my fault as I packed away my heavy winter coat for a lighter coat.

Spudlet · 31/03/2022 20:48

I saw a man in shorts and flip flops last Saturday morning. I was still wearing my big coat… the car thermometer thing said it was 7 degrees Blush

So I kind of blame him too. Although I did also buy a new summer maxi dress last week - I’ve wanted one for ages and there was a gorgeous one for a bargain price in a new preloved shop in town, sooo… 🙈

Yeah, anyway. Sorry again everyone.
