Really posting in AIBU for the traffic. I’m so fed up. For almost 3 years I’m had green discharge and plenty of it. Bleeding in between periods (I’m peri menopausal), very inflamed sore vulva and vagina. Has swabs 3 years ago and thrush was found so started treatment. This went on for 9 months. I kept telling them it wasn’t getting better. Eventually the GP saw me, did more swabs, this time all clear but still all the symptoms so I was sent under the 2 week cancer rule to gynae to look for cancer. No cancer but they did do biopsies of womb lining. They wrote to my GP saying an infection was found but discharged me, saying 7 days amoxiclav antibiotics would sort it. I took them and it got better for a few weeks then came back as before. Then pandemic hit. Eventually I got an phone appointment and the dr said I needed swabs and if there were clear she would refer me back. Had swabs, all clear so I was waiting for referral to come. It didn’t. So after 6 months I chased it up. Turns out no referral was made. So I got another appointment, swabs done, another set of antibiotics. Swabs still not showing anything but 7 days antibiotics helped for 3 weeks then it’s back as bad as ever. GP has now referred me back to gynae. Discharge soaking pad in hours. Pain etc. I had a mesh thing put in in 2000’s and had mentioned that to gynae but she couldn’t see it on her screen as records online weren’t that long ago, so that was ignored. I’m being told it’s over a year to gynae but nothing is being offered until I see gynae. Has anyone had anything like this before and have any ideas to help?

Though I think the antibiotics have caused thrush but can deal with that easily.

Hey, literally just stumbled on your post, how are you now?

I'm only fat 9 of 14 days antibiotics for suspected pid. Currently awaiting referral for a pelvic ultrasound.
The pain has eased but since last night I feel like I'm peeing broken glass. I absolutely forgot that antibiotics can cause thrush.

Explains a lot.

I just want to feel better 😭
