Do you believe in 'soul mates'?

I don't know if anyone else feels this. But, I believed my ex-husband was my soul mate. I feel that my current partner is my soul mate. Perhaps, as my split from my ex-DH was amicable (although, very painful and still is a bit) and we are still good friends, I still see him as a soul mate. Not sure if that makes sense. But the time I was with him was very precious and our co-parenting relationship is still very important to me. We were together for 17 years. But my current DP I love so much and hope we are together for a very long time. Our relationship is equally precious to me.

I'd love to believe in soul mates but I honestly think it just comes down to luck and enough compatibility.
I had a brief relationship with someone who I felt made me a better version of myself and I was "home" but in hindsight it could have been because I was needing an ego boost. Obviously not my soul mate as it didn't work out. I do think of him fondly but he definitely wasnt as kind as I'd hope a soul mate would be!

Yes. My DH is my soul mate :) (together 15yrs and married 12). Imagine we'll be wrinkly and grey together and stay buddies til death do us part xx

@sweetbambi coincidences are... coincidences. To me, anyway.

I used to say to dh that we could have had an arranged marriage, we were so obviously right for each other. He has died now and I find the world is still full of interesting people and good days still to ge had.

@48PermanentTemporary true I guess though I also think the sheer amount of coincidences I guess has made me think it could be possible. I just don't think that anyone could be as perfect of a match as dp is
