I hate it,

Ive just logged on and since yesterday morning the available balance has been £xxx

No I bloody well know its nowhere near £xxx as i went food shopping 2 DAYS ago and got my haircut, plus other stuff but it hasnt come off the available balance like its supposed to!

No I know this happens all the time so I tally up my numbers to see whats 'not come off the balance yet' so I don't spend any money I havent got.

Because at some point otday or tomorrow it will all come off at once from the last 3 days and probably make me go overdrawn

and Im sick of it.

Not sure why Abbey are to blame, if you authorised the transactions whether they came out the same day (rare) or 3 days later you should ensure their are sufficient funds so as not to go overdrawn. Most retailers dont take payment the same day, it varies from the next working day to 5 working days depending on when they present to the bank.

Just add up your debit card transactions and deduct them from the account balance.

Yes, but the point I am making is that it is their job to keep my online banking up to date,

So if I were in a rush and i log on to check my balance and its 48 hours behind and I just glance at my available then it SHOULD be right shouldn't it?

I mean its the same at cash machines, if I went to one now it would say £xxx.

Abeey are always so behind with things like this.

They told me a payment to DH would be 'instant' it took 3 days!

They delayed a cheque we paid in by 5 days.

Every transaction I have with them is slow and something goes wrong in the process!

Ans i dont think IBU to ask that the amount on the screen matches the money in my bank to be honest! Especially as they have had 3 days now to take my shopping money off the balance!
